Power Valve Delete. What for?

U will loose bottom end power. Peps running big bores do the delete also, doesnt seem to hurt them as much.

there are delete kits and there are mechanical conversions....i went with the conversion from STM for a cleaner look under the hood and don't want to worry about cables and servos and all that crap

I don't mind the deletes on a big bore sled, but from my experience on turbos would not recommend them for that application.

how do the mechanical ones work? i mean i understand how they work just asking how good they are

The STM set-up is a modified Doo valve. They work great. Two years on mine ('05 EFI King) and I love them. I did put a lighter spring (the one for the '01 700 Doo) and they work much better. I think they are coming from STM with the lighter spring now?? 76FOMOCO has a set for sale...check the FS thread.

As you increase the bore

, because of the upward angle, there isn't much valve left on a big bore. So they're not much help. Many of us just block them open or delete them.

One of my powervalve cables just broke so i was just wondering what kit works the best and also if they work on a carbed sled. Has anyone had any problems with these just dont want to get them and have more problems then i would with stock. Also would i have to re-jet or would everything be good?
