Im down 10 lbs but I am finding it very hard to do the exercises with out irritating my shoulder and my DR. has advised me to slow down. I'll have to admit following to diet is very hard for me. My family is very very big on BBQ's and when my dad grills up steak and potatoes every weekend it makes it worse.

My wife on the other had is down 8 lbs and two pant sizes and is starting to look very very cut (now matter what you say girls will take it wrong) She looks likes she is in high school again.

I use the after work out mix but that is it.

Do u have very sore muscles the next day after a workout? Ive been doing the workouts on/off for the last month and I wasnt using the mix and i get so sore that i can hardly move the next day. The formula says it has like 3 things in it to help with sore muscles. I just ordered it today so im hoping i can actually get some things done at work without being so sore!

the only thing that is gonna help you not be sore is stretching and water. Gotta get the lactic outta the system. But so long as you are pushing it and doing more and more each time you will always be sore. In time it will not be the same type of sore. Right now you are probably the sore that comes with not having worked out like this in a long time, and your body feels even more sore because you aren't used to using those muscles like this before. Eventually you will just get to the sore/pumped stage where you feel sore from the tears in you muscle and the blood that flows into the area giving you that pumped look and feel.

Basically everytime you workout and do a bit more then the last time you are tearing your muscle fibers....thing when you try and rip off a hang nail. So you are never going to loose or find a cure for the soreness....and many people find that they actually have more true muscle soreness vs acid buildup 2 or even 3 days after working that muscle group.

Oh and that soreness can be one of the best feelings in the world and very addictive.

Not sure what the 90x mix costs, but you might check out different Whey Protein mixes down at GNC. That is an ideal post workout drink as it gets protein into the body ASAP which will help the muscle rebuild those tears I mentioned earlier. I always had great luck with GNC chocolate whey and chocolate milk....but I've never tried to cut wait, just gain.

I would definently look at taking protein and also look at getting an intra workout drink which I could name a few if you want me to that contains some specific BCAA's that will help with not being sore the next day. Along with what X-Rated said optimum nutrition makes a great whey protein that isn't terribly expensive.

Well i just ordered the recovery drink from beachbody so im hoping it helps a little bit at least. kind of pricey but if it works its money well spent in my mind with how i feel a few days after the workouts. My problem is, i do the workouts and feel great afterward, a little tired and worn out, but i get so sore the next few days which almost stops me from doing the next workout. i worked out and played a lot of sports in high school and dont remember ever being this sore. It really is a great workout if i could just get past that. maybe im pushing too hard? Idk. thanks for the responses!

Your not in school anymore....body isn't what it once was.

Trust me when I say that you will eventually get past the soreness that makes it feel like you can't workout. But only if you keep working out.

If you are fatiguing to the point of failure on the first or second set of an exercise then yes you are pushing to hard....but if your failing on the 3rd your fine.

I remember some workouts where I literally couldn't raise my arms up to shampoo they were so dead and sore....but the next day they felt much better. You will get to the point where you look forward to those feelings.
