Powderlites Turbo Nytro MTX install thread

Nope, it's the one I'm talking about. I just can't seem to get it to go in there...I can't start using a wrench, because it won't eve get as far in that it will get stuck (sorry, kinda hard to explain) But I'll give it another go....I have it excactly like in your pic, and looked at it time and time again, but I just can't figure it...

Ya its tight going. If you compare the threads of the oil pressure switch to the fitting they look like the same pitch. Perhaps the fitting is a little bit bigger. Mine started by hand and turned a bit and then i had to use the wrench.

hi lococoin just thought I would ask if I got the coolant lines for the turbo in the right place on the motor. I took off the U shaped oil cooler outlet hose on the front of the motor and plugged them in there ? . I also got some fusses with the kit and no info to where thy go any info would be great thanks ,khk

The fuses with the kit ...........follow your red battery wire from the battery to where it bolts up up front. You will see two semitransparent covers on top of the two fuses. Those are 10 amp if I recall, replace them with the twenties

Topgun are you riding on the low altitude mapping? I'm at sea level, so I think that's the mapping that will work for me...

Just need to figure out all the electrical today...

I actually just loaded the sea level mapping. I was a couple of maps back but was running to fat down low and too lean up top. I'm running at 1800 feet. I haven't had a chance to try the mapping since it has been below -30 everyday here.

ok, sounds like I will need that map...I'll try to upload it when I get it together... I just hope I've done everything right, but looking at the pics in this thread it seems to be pretty spot on for me...

Stop typing OBR - get your a.. to garage and get her done - LOL :D:p Can't wait to hear the report how the PL kit will do agianst the MCX when you get the sled dialed:beer;

I know...I just need to go in here all the time to look at pics of the install...

And with my ICE mobile connection, it's not going anywhere fast...

I'll schedual a test ride next weekend hopefully...the guy I sold the kit to is REALLY ready to ride now...we have amazing pow conditions at the moment...hope to get my sled boosted for next weekend too, but that's a different story...I need to find a Shockwave helix around here somewhere to dial the Nytro in...I've got some Supertip weights, so I'll use them, and HSP has the springs I need, but can't find a Helix...Might have to run the stock helix for now....

Next is putting the fuel tank on now, with the intercooler, all the wiring, and the RB3...Guess my neighbours will be pissed tonight when I go test-ride it on the field...(hopefully):D

I kid you not, buy the Ulmer clutch kit and you won't be messing with anything. Ask him for the clutchkit to be matched with your boost and elevation, it will be right on. How do you put a price on your time. He had mine within 100 rpm right off the bat.

Yeah, I'll order up some clutching from him,but beeig in Norway, it takes atleast two weeks to get it....I need something for next weekend...

I've got a big order for Ulmer coming up, so I'll order a kit at the same time, tanks for the heads up...

From Tank to fuel pump, Then from fuel pump you T into the in fuel injector rail then to the 2-1 regulator then from there you plumb a return line into the tank.

We need to get a CD that goes with the kit full of good pics (hint hint)

THANKS!!! That is the way I figured, but I ca't get that T-line to be long enough to go to the regulator..But now that I know it's correct, I'll try again...THANKS!!!

Ps, I was up all last night wrenching so I'll try and close the deal with you tonight (it is 11 PM here now, and I still see 4-5 hours of wrenching, but I'll do my best) Thanks, Bull

They moved the regulator in the updated kit so your 5/16 fuel line is too short. i think you need around 18 inches to get to the regulator from the T. I ended up just buying some new fuel line at the auto parts store.

Well, after 15 long hours in the garage, I decided to call it a day...it's 4AM here now, so of to work in 2 hours....

The engine is turning over fine, but I keep getting error code 12, wich the book says is crankshaft position sensor? What needs to be done here?

Also, I have fuel pressure of 70 psi....That's a little bit much...I need to adjust it to 48 according to the manual, but I was way to tired to figure it out tonight...

Thanks Everyone for your help tonight, I really appreciate it and would be stuck without your help...

make sure you have the rb3 wiring harness tied inline with the cps and make sure you have the rb3 power wire tied into the wires that go to the key.
