poo 800 motor

Is it possble to take a 800 CFI motor and run carbs on it? Or are some of the parts built into the cylinders? I have an 07 IQ that needs a motor and wanting to run something stock in it. Thanks guys!!!

That's a good question. But why not just go with a 800 VES motor and port and mod it? It would be cheaper.

I dont want to do any more mods. They are killing me with all the up keep and $$$. Want to drop a stocker in it if I can. I was going to drop a cat 900 in it but the sale didn't work out. I want something reliable after having the mod 800, 797, and 600.

i know people that run the race 600 bottom end with 800 top end and run carbs. they weld the injector holes on the cylinder to make it work.

Contact turbotater on the forum. he has some motors that might work. He loves the Cat 900 motor. I've been over at his place working for the last 3 days and that is all he talks about.

I have a 08 IQR that I have done the monoblock conversion on it. Since the 600r motor has the same stroke as the 800CFI you are able to slap the 800 top end on it and the cdi doesn't know any different. Dmax makes the plugs to plug the Cylinder injector port and I am sure he can make some for the 800CFI crankcase injector port. You would need a 600r electronics (cdi, stator, wiring harness, etc), fuel system (fuel pump and carbs) and I think it would work great. Mine runs like a raped ape now that I stuck a Holtzman ATACC and jetted it fat. Hope this helps.
