Polaris rmk 858 rk tek on the dyno

The dyno goes to 8300 not 8000 which is good enough for me.
Dyno sheet is manipulated. Notice how the stock hp is 139?
How can that be when factory and all other dyno sheets show 140-145? Cmmmmmm. Padding the numbers in favour of a hop up? Yep.
Notice how the new run is EXACTLY 169? Magically the claimed gain is 30HP?
Notice how there is no info AT ALL about the correction factor on both dyno runs?
Notice how the stock dyno looks like it is drawn in there where as the aftermarket has dips and valleys?
Lemme guess, the dyno was from someone who sells the kit? Surprise surprise.
Im simply saying that the promise was 30hp. Even at 25hp, thats a lie. Flat out. Yea, it's a nice power gain, just not what the seller says it is.
If you butt dyno gurus wanna defend shady business practices, bait and switch etc, go ahead. I have no horse in this race. Buy all the kits ya want. Nut swing away.

Stock sleds that are delivered here in Norway, are performance tested because of the strict regulations of exhaust contamination. The hp numbers are stamped on the tunnel when they come to Norway, after they have been through a dyno test taken by the Norwegian goverment, so they can see what regristration fee they have to take.

All Polaris 800 machines from 2011 up to 2015, besides the new Axis, have 103kW, converted to hp that is around 138.5hp.

Ski doo have 108kW stamped, that equals around 145hp, and Arctic Cat have around 110kW, that equals around 150hp.

Can't speak for the dynonumbers of the 858 kit, but the dyno of a stock engine at 139hp is true.

Ok, this you may have misunderstood abit. There is NO dynotest performed by the Norwegian goverment. To my knowledge, there does not exist any facility in our country that would be able to perform an accurate test like this. I know volvo has a facility in sweden where they are able to make official tests, atleast of larger engines that they develop inhouse.
The HP numbers stamped on the tunnel, is something that is stamped there at the factory. Heck, my 1100T that I bough in the US and shipped overseas had the same information label about weight and HP etc as my Norwegian bought M800.
All this info has to be there when it leaves the factory.

Sorry, my bad. I was sure they were tested before beeing registered here.

Butt dynoes cant be trusted either lol

All that matters is whos the first one on top of the hill. Any takers! ?

I wouldn't ask anybody this unless it is a stock machine ..

I Just got back from Cooke and one of these RK858 was in the group .. I have a T8RZ prepped 800 and smoked h in every respect !! He might have not had it set up to its potential but it was so far of a long shot I don't see one in my future .. probably a 851 and lightweight crank but not that design . He had a 100% stock pipe and I did try to tell him he needed to cut it but he said Kelsey said it works best the way it is ?? Where would the motor pick up on RPM then ??

I am not sure where kanedog is getting his dyno numbers from but 140-145 seems a bit high to me. A riding buddy of mine had his all stock pro on the dyno and it produced 133hp. That same sled picked up 18hp with a rktek fix kit with rktek head. The owner of the sled ported his cylinders as well.

I just looked at the Bikeman Performance website....their 860 BB Kit claims HP to 184-185 HP. If they are claiming a 45 hp increase, RK Tek's 30 hp seems very reasonable.....and he doesnt advertise that on his site that I can see anyways. MTNTK Performance claims 20 hp and thats only doesnt even appear to be a BB kit. SLP is claiming 20 hp on their stage 4 and thats not a BB kit either.

Bottom line is.....your going to spend $$$$$ on little bits of HP Gain.

I have had Kelseys Drop in kit and it is nothing like the MTNTK full mod kit I have. Kelseys kit claims 15 hp over stock and it couldn't even pull the stock clutching. I have gone form 62 gram to 66 gram weights with the MTNTK kit, and im still over revving. There have been several guys here that have bought kelseys big bore kit and have not been happy. The MTNTK kit full mod hit 150 hp at 5300 feet. And that was with the old fueling set up. With the new bully dog it will make even more. Just putiing bigger pistons and a head on a motor will make slightly more power, but until you allow it really move some air ( porting , pipe, reeds), then it will be nothing more than disappointing. His kits worked well with the old revs but it doesnt with the pro motor. Only way to get more power out of a pro is porting and compression or a turbo.....
