Polaris limited build is a joke!

I've seen some here say that they only sell 10k sleds a year. If so, that's a big chunk of their market share. IF it's more like 30k, I'd bet they have an accessory kit to add the turbo once they figure out if it's going to kill their bottom line on warranty.

They also probably didn't expect that many people to spend the extra $4k. I'd take the NA model for my type of riding and skip the extra $ 99% of the time.

I think it’s purely supply shortages.
They have to know that everyone is going to want the biggest best thing.

The worldwide supply chain has been EFFed by governments buying into Covid hype.

Just be clear on that, Covid didn’t cause the problem........

Government did.......

I'm not happy about the limited amount of boost sleds either. My problem is Polaris unveils this incredible machine that's now all over my social media but you can't have it. I seen our local dealer sales guy post early this morning they had already sold out! I've actually thought about going back to Ski Doo for next year they'll take my money lol and I didn't care for my 17 850 Doo, I hated that chassis but at least I can get what they are pushing!

Yep I here you Im sick of this **** already. I’m going to give the Doo turbo a try and save myself a few grand besides. And I know the doo runs amazing. I’ve been down that first year road to many times with poo and still trying to get that ****y taste out of my mouth ?

Only 3000 sleds? Seems to me Polaris is using the public to do their r&d for them again. I hope I’m wrong, but they should be able to produce more sleds if they really have been working on this turbo for eight years. They also said the 840 was was tested for four and we know that wasn’t true either. Polaris needs to stop using their customers as test mules.

Ding ding ding.... new model and lots of moving parts to make it happen.

Under promise over deliver.

Last year hurt brand image a lot with snow check delivery's. Making damn sure they are on the mark this year.
Agree... The supply chain is so messed up right now in every industry its incredible. There are shortages of metal, cardboard, microchips, you name it... Not to mention people willing to work... I believe they did a smart move because they are keeping the used values up on sleds not flooding the market again this year.

The dealerships are making as much money selling the limited supply, and getting MSRP as they normally would selling 4X as many sleds. Now next year if they don’t limit the sled numbers they will come back down to reality with the price, and thous who paid sticker this year are going to take a butt kicking loss.

Spend that couple grand on suspension upgrades.

After 4k in suspension it might be able to follow an 11 pro in technical terrain. ?

Good luck washing that out of your mouth.

Yeah your right..... there must be a turbo shortage. Obviously thats the reason for the limited build.......lol

Considering it’s a snowmobile specific aluminum center section.

Likely part of the reason.

I’d guess several of the critical pieces have very long lead times.

Being in construction (commercial vertical) we have seen insane lead time growth. Normally 4 weeks, now 14-16 weeks for a basic building lighting package.

Prices jumped 30-60%

I work for a manufacturer and I can tell you that most producers in the country are taking similar steps by limiting/sequencing sales. Polaris can't afford to take on 5,000 snowchecks and produce 2500 of them. That's a way worse PR nightmare then what they are currently doing. Further, I have a hunch that if the supply chain catches up and manufacturing paces this summer, they'll open up more slots and do some sort of customization offer to make good. It's a big year for Polaris, closing the gap on Doo like that....gotta give 'em props :ROFLMAO:

I watched the reveal, super excited couldn't decide on colors, no sweat ill do it in the morning. I got called out to work early yesterday, worked till late last night. Called around this morning, got laughed off the phone, many times, lol. Dang, looks like I missed the boat! Maybe one of the local dealers will magically have a few that the customers "backed out of" come fall.............

I have a buddy who got on the waitlist and now has a confirmed snowcheck.

Worth throwing your name in the hat.

in commercial construction as well. we have some pumps that are 20 - 24 weeks out now.

bid a project with a bunch of stainless steel middle of November. got the NTP end of january. material increased 23.5% in that time

when people complain about pricing its like they haven't bought a sheet of OSB, lumber, or ..... anything in the last year.
