Awesome to hear, thanks for the update.Good morning everyone! Thanks for your continued support and prayer for Matt. Progress has been slow but steady but I see that as a good thing as I recall the doctor's words from early on: "bad things happen fast, good things happen slowly".
Matt is working hard eveyday with physical, occupational and speach therpy. We got to talk on the phone for the first time last night which really gave me peace that everything will be ok. Its one thing to have those present with him give you a positive report but it was amazing to hear his voice an know in my heart that he is going to come out of this. To hear him say "thanks for all the prayers" and "I love you dad" brought joy to my heart and tears to my eyes.
Jon is going to be posting some recent photo's of Matt on the site so keep an eye out for those!
This was posted by Mike this morning, for those not keeping an eye on the caringbridge website Matt had the trach taken out and is starting to eat solid foods (soft stuff) and is also talking. For those that were at the benefit dinner held in Orofino thanks again for everyone's support, the proceeds will really help Matt out! We all just need to keep praying and encouraging his improvement!!!
