Please Help Before I burn my sled to the ground!!!!

Having some issues. My High flow intank pump went out. Then I put a brand new Walbro 195 intank pump in it. Still wouldn't run right and build fuel pressure. I changed out the regulator and installed a Turbo Smart FPR. That thing ended up in the garbage. Put a Bosch on it and now it seems to build good static fuel pressure.

Now that I have the fueling system working, I can't get the POS to pull above 4600 RPM. Acts like the ECU is sending a Code, but no codes are flashing. Kinda acts like when it is low on Antifreeze. Antifreeze is full. Just acts like the engine timing is retarding for some reason. I can't put a finger on it.

Anyone have any idea's?

Thanks in advance!!!

At the sake of sounding overly basic, since you were having fueling issues that are now resolved, is it possible that you have fuel soaked you plugs; not bad enugh to foul at idle but under a load they go flat on you? Again, not tryingto sound too basic. You know the rule...start with the basics first then move to the next item. Fuel quality, Pipe temp sensor, partially plugged injectors, wire loom connections, reeds, broken exhaust....so on. I'm assuming this Is on your M-7 turbo?

The best of luck to you.

Uhm. What is it. How many miles, the more info about it the more likely someone will know something.

Yes. It is for the M7. Reeds have been replaced, new Plugs, 116 Octane fuel, ect. All the basics have been covered. Where is the temp sensor located on the M7. There is no pipe sensor, but I have never had to mess with the temp sensor...the TPS is hooked up, all lines are hooked up, there are no holes in the pipe, all the joints from the turbo all the way to the airbox are connected, I am just dumb founded on the problem.

Two weeks ago, I had a terrible time sledding. The sled just wouldn't run. You would give her throttle, and it would rev up and then immediately die...and as soon as you let off the throttle, she would come back on(this was cruising about 20MPH). So we came home, and when I went to unload the sled, it wouldn't fire. I towed it into the garage, and hooked up my 12V Battery charger to the fuel pump and found out the fuel pump was gone. I put in a 195 Walbro. Then a new regulator, and it would go and quit go and quit. So then I changed out the new Turbo Smart FPR and put in a bosch. Now it will run, just not won't go beyon 4700 RPM. It will build about 3 PSI boost, but no more.

Also two weeks ago, I did have her running really good, for about 10 min. I was building good boost(16 PSI) and then it blew off the joint between the IC and Airbox. So I rode all the way back at 5500 RPM. It just wouldn't build any boost. But other than that, I cannot see why the M7 wouldn't run...Everything has either been removed and replaced, or it has been checked.

What would cause it to act like it would flash code/retard the motor. Again, it is not flashing codes, but it is acting like it is in limp mode...

have you pulled your head or checked compression? would it have gone lean and melted a piston when your ic popped off the airbox?

Does it ever sound like its dropping a cylinder, turbo bearings good. waste gate closing. Do you have gauges and what are they reading.

I put a stator corp Rewound Stator in this year. And yes, it does at times sound like it is dropping a cylinder. I checked again about 1/2 hour ago, and both pistons look great, and no scratches in the cylinders. I have an external waste gate. And the Turbo Bearings are good as well, at least the Turbo spins freely with my fingers, and the turbines don't rattle around. It also has a Tial Housing, with a Tial external wastegate. I also pulled the box wiring off the injectors, and plugged the stock injector wiring into the stock injectors. It did seem to idle better.

It also seems very hard to start at times. I know that I have a 195 Walbro fuel pump, but the one I had in it before was a 255. I just can't imagine this thing having stator problems after I put a brand new rewound stator in it. Stator Corp warranty's their Stators for 2 years. I can't imagine the stator having issues.

Anyone know where all the grounds are located? It could be a bad box, I am going to check the boots ect.

I also put brand new reeds in it. I put new plugs, new fuel, the only thing that I haven't looked at is injectors.

Am I missing something???

Sounds more electrical, make sure the spark plug caps are screwed into the the wires tight and you may want to check the coils or rubs in wires, heard of a few coils going out and causing this type of issue. What about gauges like A/F or egts.

I have an aem AFR gauge. How do you test the coils?

Again, I had the lighting coil, fuel pump coil sections on the stator rewound. What could this all be?

Found this thread in the M Section. This guy is having the same issues as I am, at least, similar.

http://www.snowestonline.com/forum/showthread.php?t=233703&highlight=Voltage+Regulator

Could it be the coil? Could it be the TPS? It will Idle, when you give it full throttle, it will go and build good boost. then the sec you let off, and give it throttle again, it will cut out and come to a complete stop. Then I can't even get it to move. Have to hit the flipper a bunch to get it to go. Then she cuts out the rest of the day.

I think its electrical. could be the TPS, could be coil, could be the fuel box, could be anything. I know it is very hit and miss when it idles. It will idle well at 3000 RPM, then die. Then it requires Starting fluid to start. Then once it is started, it will idle at 1900, and idle forever. Today, it was in limp mode. It wouldn't rev past 4400.

Any other idea's? Could it be a faulty tail light connection?

sounds like the same issues as the other thread. I would try and get a hold of him and see if he figured it out, or try all the stuff mentioned in that thread
