Peak 2.5 or Challenger Extreme 2.5?

Peak Vs Extreme

Had two 2012 Pro's 800 163"
Sled One- Stock with a Peak and Geared Down
Sled Two- Boondocker Intercooled Turbo w/ stock Track

My stock sled with the Peak would transfer more then my turbo. I added 7lbs of rotating mass by putting the peak on. The Peak was missing half the paddles at the end of year where my turbo sled with stock track had
all of it paddles. At slow speeds( in the trees) the Peak would trench more.

My personal opinion I would not put the peak again because it falls apart. If I did put it on, I surely would not put it on my turbo it hooks up too hard and at slow speeds in the trees climbing it would transfer way to much. The turbo would be very hard to control at slower speeds. If don't ride the trees much and mainly hill climb it would be a good track. I'm going back to the Extreme its way more durable.

Who has the best pricing on either of these tracks? I have a T-Pro 163 and I'm leaning towards an Extreme if anyone has one they want to peddle, but would consider a peak for the right price. Thanks.

I do believe TracksUSA has them on sale - assuming they have one to fit your pitch. They were kind of limited last year.

Hey guys what's your experience with running a CE 2.5 with the stock drivers and stock chaincase on a turbo Pro? I have been reading that with the stock drivetrain there is very little track to bulkhead clearance and will restrict snow flow and hinder evacuation especially in heavier snow conditions. Most of this info is coming from non-turbo owners so I was curious what the turbo guys are doing and if it's as big of an issue with the added hp. Also, am I going to run into problems with ratcheting using the stock drivers? Would it be a good idea to run an anti-stab kit? I'm new to turbos this year so I'm tryin to put it all together so my first turbo experience is a good one. Thanks guys, you've already given me a ton of useful info on this forum.

The stock drivers on the dragons are pretty much junk. I have an 09 d8 155 and i had ratcheting running stock motor. So I changed to avid combos and they are 10 times better, and of course running them with an anti stab is a necessity. I now run a turbo and can run the track extremely loose and no issues with ratcheting at all. Bottom line spend the money and get the avid combos in whatever pitch you need and install the anti stab kit and you wont have any issues at all!
