Parking lot etiquette.

I don't know i'd be pretty worried about the owner coming back and seeing someone hooked up and dragging his rig, you better do it fast and hope they don't catch you! Unless they are blantly in the way. But even so if you so much as put a scratch on the rig, you could find yourself with some big problems. I mean everyone needs to park so their is lots of room for others, and don't block others in, but you never know if they were there, and then someone parked in another spot after that you could of got out threw.

I just know how i'd feel if I seen a strap up to my truck getting drug around, many people treat things like crap so I wouldn't except them to be careful when doing it. And I know I would flip right out......

Parking lot Wars.....it just takes 1 IDIOT

Like the azzhat who decides the best place to park is in the ONE TURN AROUND area when roadside staging is obviously being done by everyone there.

It gets worse in our parking lot. We have the turn around area well signed as no parking. Almost every weekend some bone head will park in the turn around with his drivers door 6 feet away from the sign...and then claim he didn't see it!

When I approach one of the lots I always unload first & then park close enough to the next guys rig to allow enough room to get in & out of both rigs & get around the rear of the trailer with my front pointed out towards the road. I dont care if I have to move my rig afterwards to load up or not, I try to take the least amount of space as possible. I usually had this issue up at Rabbit Ears in CO. Thats kinda hairy being so close to traffic.

I've gotten back to the parking lot with a big chip in my rigs windshield and a chunk of chew stuck on it???? This was at a lot that fills fast and is rather small. I assure you we were not in any turnaround spot, in fact I have never seen a turnaround IN this particular parking lot (Lakecreek usually people turn around in the entrance when the lot is full) and we ride this area at least every few weeks. The only thing I can think of is that the spot we took someone thought should of been left for themselves...you snooze you lose with this game, some just seem to be sore losers.
I agree, whoever arrives first should decide parking scheme, if your dedicated enough to arrive first to some of these parking lots then you probably have a good idea on how the parking should go for everyone else.;)

Just as bad is the peeps who cant manage the rig they came in after they leave the BIG Highway......peeps practice in a WalMart shopping parking lot before you try a staging area........They are the same peeps who take up both lanes at the Boat ramp....JACKKNIFED.

Or the peeps who instead of lining up their sleds in single file along their rig...decide to park their sleds and equipment in a 100 foot circle...usually in the entrance way.

Many of our Alberta Staging areas have the permanant unloading ramps for ALL peeps to use........Many times I see a Truck backed up to the ramp......AND PARKED for there ALL day.....We dont use the ramp but come on Fuktards use a little common sense.

The problem is the tow rigs & trailers are getting bigger but the lots have stayed the same.

People just need to realize they're not the only ones that matter and park smart.

Parking where I ride is ALWAYS an issue. I always seem to run into the group of buttnutz (always seem to be from Denver:rolleyes::rolleyes:) that think that they have the deed and title to the parking lot. They have cones placed in vacant spots to save for their "buddies" that don't have the intelligence to leave D-Town early and they get their stupid azzes caught in ski traffic. I had to call the Sheriff's Dept last year because one really old fart had done this and he couldn't back up his mouth so he had to call his son and 5 friends to come over. This was in the Muddy Creek lot on Rabbit Ears Pass.

Or, you get the token jackazz that decides that he's gonna park his long bed quad cab pickup with a 6 place trailer long ways in the lot, thus taking up at least 6 or 7 spots that would be there if he had just backed it in. You know who you are, azzhat! I think that your painted to match truck and trailer are cheezy and you have a small wiener. Hence, the compensation elsewhere!

Basically, if it looks like you are going to mess up parking for other riders, you are going too. Park nicely and you'll avoid things like having your truck plowed in with snow because "somebody" bribed the plow operator.:D:D

Oh no....not the cones!!!!!

We actually saw a guy at Vail last week who put out like 6 cones around his truck as he was leaving. Not saving any spots just cones around his truck?

Thank god he put them out or I may have never seen his crewcab parked there!

I think those cones would look good under my trailer. Funny how fast people will move their S!*T when you start backing over it.:D
