Well I took the step and got my Silber turbo on order. So far I have a 2" riser block added to the steering post, and I installed a set of Air Frame boards. (These are 100% better than any board mod). Now the question is... What else does the sled need to be sure the power is put to the snow? Shocks? Skid? Clutching? Track? Best bang for the buck guys???

havn't had a turbo sled before but also snochecked a silber kit for 2012, but am looking at doing something to my rear skid for better control and more adjustability, don't know for sure what yet. May go with the camo 2.5 after I try the stock track. Clutching will have to be done after the kit comes out since it will be a changed. Am going to do a wrap also, better boards, some venting, gauge lifter, and other minor things.

Got my sick 2012 silber kit on the way aswell! Im not gonna spend any money on clutching as the kit comes with clutchinh, jus fine to it to my preference. I didnt see venys on your listt frisco, id look into them so you can keep this baby coool.

Ok Venting good point I have a great guy with Longtracks edge who does custom vents reasonable.
Challenger Extreme 2.5 is a 50/50 are they not harder lugs? I thought harder lugs trench easier?

Turboed my sled last year and the biggest thing I overlooked and wish I would have know is about frogskins. Last year was an awesome winter with tons of dry powder as everyone knows. My sled always worked good in deep powder prior to the Turbo. With the turbo, they suck so much air I had a problem with sucking snow and steam. What I didn't realize is even after I got the snow ingestion problem solved, I would suck in steam. Snow hitting the pipe going to steam and then sucking in steam causing the tuning to be rich. I tried everything. I had to get rid of my 2 cool vents because the powder went right through them. I tried screen material to know avail. Once I got the frogskins covering the vents the problem was solved. Just an FYI when thinking about vents for a turbo!

You need to get the intake out from inside and get the fresh air..
Thats the #1 mod to do to any turbo!!! IMO
I have done this to both the Boondockers and the Silber.
on the Pro's
Then you don't have to worry about the snow coming in

Do you have any big/better pics of that intake? I really like how that looks.

As for other mods, I'm just running it as is & see how it goes. Other than venting, better boards & gage lifter it's gonna be stock parts this season.

any thoughts on aftermarket rear skid options?

The all new TIMBERSLED Mtn. Tamer looks extremely functional and very easy to make adjustments on. With ZBROZ EXIT shocks coming standard, it is sure to feel great. This is the suspension that will be on my 2012 turbo pro, along with a 2.5 camo track.

Sounds like you guys have a pretty good list so far. I built a '09 TD9 Silber sled last year. I realize that is a different sled but I bought a Boost Logic turbo blanket and an intercooler fan. I'm not sure if your Pro kits comes with intercoolers or not but it may help prevent heak soak. You may also want to think about a good place to mount the fuel controller for ease of tuning and visibility. Also mounting the boost controller in a good spot will save you some time getting off the sled, making the setting change under the hood, and then getting back on sled. One other change I made was trying to quiet down the exhaust. I spent a lot of time on that and I think it helped a few db's compared to my friends TD9.

Either way, I'm jealous of you guys with the Pro turbos. I'm starting to get the itch for another sled since I sold mine last Feb.

EDIT: I should add that some of these won't help put power to the ground but will make for a better experience in the long run IMO.
