original 2010 flash

Actually here is the repost of what I posted last year:

Depends on your injector color.

The 800 has 3 injector colors (dots located on body of each injector) - Blue, red, Yellow. All injectors should be of the same color.

The 04-15-10 flash number = Blue 4013135 , Red 4013134 , Yellow 4013136

The 01-11-10 flash number = Blue 4013066 , Red 4013065 , Yellow 4013067

Original 2010 update flash = Blue 4012959 , Red 4012958 , Yellow 4012960

You can have your dealer run a "Service Report" and it will list the "Software part #". That will tell you what you have loaded.

Jim, great info. Do you happen to have the part numbers for the 08 and 09 flashes? Many are starting to go back to 08 and 09 flashes depending on mod's, head's, turbo's, etc.

Dave, I should.... I have to fire up the sled in order to get the Digital Wrench Software to display the available packages. If the '08 D8 came before the 3.2 version of the software then I will not have it. Problem with fireing my sled is it's in pieces awaiting my cylinder re-plating from US chrome. Now if someone local to the Snoqualmie / North Bend area wants to volunteer they're sled I'd by happy to run a report for you and see what else is available in my copy of Digital Wrench. I should have some time on Sunday or Monday.

slp says the map they provided works best with the original flash for 2010, and thats what the dealer claims i have, but dam, the midrange sounds horrible sputtering and chit worse then stock setup.
I just came across a thread thats states heavier weights can give you a mid stumble. Went from the stock 62 to 68s+3 unload at bout 2000+/- and ride to 5500-7500+/- . Stumble was comming down the trail at about 4000+/-

ok looks like I can access the map database on my version.. As far as I can tell here are the orignal 2008/2009 ecu software numbers.

red = 4012705
blue = 4012706
yellow = 4012707

UPDATE: Looks like I do have the correct numbers for the 2008 D8 - They are the same as the original 2009. there were no updates from 2008 to early 2009.

FYI: Here the numbers for the NON US/CANADA editions (says here 08/09):

red= 4012730
blue= 4012731
yellow= 4012732

Thanks Jim.

98670X, you shouldn't be having a mid range stumble with that set-up. I'm thinking you have something else going on. What is the history on this sled? Is this a new problem? Have you tried disconnecting the PCV and road testing? If so and it's still the same, I would be checking the power valves and springs. Just in case you have bypassed your Exhaust valve solenoid, you may want to hook it back up. Some have had that symptom with the solenoid bypassed trying to run the valves like the older sleds.

The next thing would be to check and verify fuel pressure (58 psi) replace fuel filter and if it still acts up, have injectors cleaned and flow tested.

I bought it new last year has about 500kms on it. Yes, it is a new problem, I put the blue pink Pspring in with weights pink exhaust spring. Didnt do the valve bypass.
Ill try disconnecting The PCV tomarrow and see how the mid is with stock map. She pulls hard at WOT. You think the filter may be plugged up after 500 kms

Dave, I updated my post above... I do have the original 08 d8 map numbers.

98670x 2 things I can think of that may help...Run no ethanol gas if you can get it. It makes a difference. 2'nd, have a look at SLP's map (you can find some in the modified section on SnoWest). it talks about an accelerator pump feature being enabled for operation under 3k '.

Reinstall your original exhaust springs. I'll bet that is what is going on.

Always start the new season off with a new fuel filter and change it every 1,000 miles.

Well its come down to its not just at midrange, its the first 8th to mabey quarter throttle at any rpm were its sputtering but anything above that it runs great.
I have read about the acc pump feature on the PC, i do unload at a lower elevation but i am quickly past 3000 ft.
Ill try the exhaust springs for the next ride out. Thanks guys
