Opinion on coupled skids?

Need opinions on coupled skids (136's) vs. non-coupled (144) in the deep stuff. Can 136's with 1.75" keep up with 144" 2" if the rider's good?
No steeps, mostly flatland riding in decent snow. Also love to run the trails with buddies 25% of the time. On a 144" '03 SKS non coupled now.
Any thoughts on the trail performance of the new 144 RMK's compared to edge chassis?

good vid. Interesting for sure. I'd like to learn more about what actually works though - not just what the skid can do. Is Sag really bad? Why do all dirt bikes come with some sag? Same with cars, etc. You don't want your suspension alwasy toping out, do you?

I have a 99 RMK with the xtra 10 rear skid ( coupled). It had a 1.75" wx 136 track that I changed to a 2" x 144". Depp snow performance went waaaaaay up. I can't give you much as far as trail performance goes because I'm rarely on them.

SC10-2 (coupled) vs SC10 (non-coupled)

2002 MXZ Renegade came stock w/ the 136 SC10-2 skid, I couldn't get it to xfer weight like the summits (or other non-coupled sleds) would.
Installed a 144 SC10 skid and longer track and it xfered weight a lot better.

Coupled skids are great for trail..or helping handle big HP...but I liked the feel and result of a non-coupled skid on my ZX chassis.

Different sleds and skids will also make a big difference too though...
And riding styles...personal preference.
