OOHHH MY BACK!!!

Jezzuss....you think yammy's are heavy when they're trenched and stuck...try yanking on it when it won't run!!

Hit GC with Ruffy, Justadude and the amazing Ephrata Farmer...drove up quite a ways to park, so I was expecting low coverage..but actually it was about as good now as any part of the season this year. Lot's of open creeks etc. like normal spring/may riding but excellent spring time conditions.

Had a great 3 hours of riding before Ruffy's Blue POY broke at the very end of Swan lake.....watched EF outride us, climbing some crazy lines and showing how well that XP of his runs...and I tell ya, that thing runs!! the thing that was most impressive....he's OLD!! LOL....

Had sunshine most of the time, and was BEATING down on us trying to yard that yammie up the single small hill that seemed HUGE when trying to pull it with my sled or by hand....close to 3 hours to get it out to the truck....Ruffy...I'm VERY thirsty today, better get out here after work and get me some beer!!!

Geat fun..and thanks for the ride EF..if not for your experience on the rope gig...we'd have ended up leaving Ruffy out there!!!LOL...

Edit note...probably only another two weeks and GC will be done if we have warm weather....

yah, sorry to all. It was good while the fun lasted. 3 hrs of good riding and 3 hrs of misery. Though you have to say that having ephrata riding on your front ski, you on the side of your sled, and me riding the ski on my yamaha made for an interesting side hill experience. :face-icon-small-sho Never done that before, don't want to do it again, but it worked good.

I owe you guys HUGE!!!

So here are the pictures. It was an incredible day. Truly was not expecting to have such good conditions that we did.

Little climbing spot Note the tracks going in the trees up at the top. Those are all ephrata's. That man can ride and his sled plain hauls. Pretty amazing. We were thinking he could make it up and out of there if he wanted to.

lunch time - sadly this is where my sled died. Stupid POY..

yep, the POY let me down.. Electrical problem. The problem with electrical problems is that they are very hard to trouble shoot. Especially switches. Man I wish I had a test light. I couldn't find the problem so we started towing the thing out.

Everything was going fine until we reached the only uphill point. It took about an hour and a half to get the stupid thing up the 30 ft hill. Man that sucked.

Broken down sled, on the trailer, defeated!

I thought Yamaha riders called SAR when they had problems? Did you buy everyone the customary steak and lobster dinners after the sled recovery?

In the next to last pic.....did EF go all the way out the top? It would be a fun trip back down! :face-icon-small-win

Yep, everyone gets food and beverages, my treat.

So when you guys want to get together to eat?

Anyone elses face burnt? My face looks like a red raccoon. Ouch!

meeting new friends

Was nice of you younger folks to take care of the old man for a day. I had a great time, thanks for showing me around your neighborhood, oh ya my face was real red from the sun and the nitro pullfest.--Ken

Damn Ruffy! Why'd ya break it?:peep: Everyone knows Yammies are suppose to be on the OTHER end of the rope!!!!!

Nice pics! Looks like an awesome spring ride!

sweet pics...

Man, looks like you all had a great day at GC. I have been wanting to ride for weeks but work keeps getting in the way.

I wonder if mom would notice if I suck out for a ride on Mom's day...:peep:

Really sorry I missed that......NOT!!!!
Maybe get to ride there again midweek if someone is up for it. Went last sunday and was snowing most of the day.

And just when he got the hotdogger done!
You can put the KLR 650 motor in it this summer!

This is my 1st of many responses!
NOt a fan of the color Blue today!

Ephrata Farmer was a god send in my opinion. This is the 1st dead sled experience in my sledding career and he taught me so much in seeing how he approached each unique challenge that comes with this kind of problem. Not to metion, EF is the real deal when it comes to skills! One word!

Humbling!
