One Way to keep your wife Happy!

Take her with you and set her up with all good stuff so she is warm and put her on a sled with electric start and reverse. Then be patient until she is comfortable and then.... you can have all the fun you want!037.JPG

I just got my wife a sled with electric start, reverse and M10 for this season, I'll find out this weekend if she's happier or not. My guess is no. LOL

I've got mine all decked out in Klim gear, rides an 04 600 and she still whines...but she's still learning this mountain riding thing so I have to cut her a little slack. Last ride out I don't think cares if she ever gets to ride again after hitting a snowsnake and hurting her wrist, banged her knee, got sick from being out in the cold and woke up the next day sorer than she's ever been in her life....I said "that's riding baby, ain't it great".

huh? wtf is a snowsnake! i hear ya though, my thumb is tired, my arms are tired, can someone bring the truck and we'll just trailer it home... it never ends. i think we get points for just trying though!

I think the same way. Many guys around here say if she wants to learn i quit
I say as long as she has a better sled than me i can ride as much as i want
SMILES NOT MILES

I can attest for Snob, he tries hard... I felt kinda bad for her by the end of the day.... ah, the trials of learning how to ride in the mountains.
On the other hand, my wife has a blast, is a pretty good rider and doesn't want a new sled, she rides an 01 Summit 800 hyperstocker and is happy with it. Tried to talk her into a rev this year and she didn't want any of it.... I do have her outfitted in the best gear so she is comfy, a cold/wet woman is an unhappy one from my experience.

I totally agree. I purchased a new sled for my wife last year. She hates the cold so had to make sure she stayed warm. Now she has a 550 fan 2-up. Make sure she dresses nice and warm. The seat is a couch. Windsheild is huge. She stays nice and warm and has a blast when we go out. Extra seat for our little ones when they go with. Definately the best way to have fun and keep the family together.

I tried taking my wife out and although she enjoys riding at the lake (e.g. ride two hours, sit by the fire with Baileys for four hours, etc.) there was no way she was going to enjoy mountain riding. Something about being stuck on the side of a mountain all day, in the fog, wind & snow plus getting helplessly stuck all the time just did not tickle her fancy. After two different attempts we finally agreed she would stay home and go shopping, I would go sledding and we would see who could spend the most money! This way we're both happy.

Now I'm riding with my 11 year old son who is doing great on a 800 RMK 151 and keeps up wherever we go! What a blast to see him ride as he's getting to the point where he can hill climb (limited in height by my fear not his) and ride trees provided he can follow a track if it gets really deep. He gets stuck way less than his Mom does too. Few more years and we'll even have a designated driver...

I say screw buying her a sled...they complain no matter what and you end up digging them out all day.

Just give her the credit card and go riding with the boys. Everyone will be much happier in the long run.

Call me lucky.

Guess I'm one of the lucky ones. My Wife is great, she bowhunts with me, rides her own bike (heritage sft) and if I'm not paying attention, beats me in a drag race off the corners, ride's her sled pretty good, gets stuck less than I do and helps me dig/pull 'er out. She has to be pretty cold and miserable to complain!

AZ800 man that's too close

His 01 800 rmk, modded a little
Hers 06 M7

His dirt old klim pants with hole in the knee, and old Reima jacket
Hers brand new klim pants, brand new klim coat

but we seem to make it work
