For all you guys TRYING.....don't give up. Have patience, and bite your tongue if need be (Think BEFORE you speak). It is tough learning to ride in the mountains, but keep up the praise and positive attitude, be there to help or provide support, and you can have a lifetime riding partner. Having someone yell at you for getting stuck (no matter how many times), or for a line you chose, or a negative attitude...well that can make a woman miserable, and make her never want to ride.
I dumped my sled, fell in my spinning track, busted up my leg (2 subsequent surgeries), but I still ride, and LOVE it! H*ll, I rode my sled out the 30 miles from the spot where I had the accident (wouldn't recommend). A lot of the time I'm the one that is first to say "Let's go riding".
It's awesome to read how so many of you do think of your wife, and get her good gear and a good machine!!!
