Hi, I'm looking to upgrade before I go to cooke again this year. I currently have a 02 pro-x 600 136", which didn't work too well with the 2-3 feet of powder we played in.

I'm really thinking about getting a rev and was wondering if the 800's would be too much for an experieced 15 year old. Any suggestions would help.

my grand son has been riding a 800 rev for 3 years and a 800 rmk and m7 prior to that,,he gets along fine on 06 800 159 x..he was 65# on his 05 800 rev.and 70# here on the 06 159

Experience would be the key word here. I agree with wyo.T/A for this reason alone. Age doesn't necessarily matter as long as you can handle the sled and power. The bright side is if it's too much power you can grow into it and ride full throttle less often. Downside is you can get yourself in trouble just as easily. My 16 year old brother rides a thundercat 1000 mountain cat with nitrous and can handle it, but has been riding since he could walk. Should see what he can do on a more capable lighter weight sled. Pretty impressive what you can get away with when you only weigh 160 pounds. The best way to find out is to go ride a buddies or rent one and decide for yourself. Everybody progresses at their own pace.
