I'm working on a new forum called www.sledswestforum.com. I should have it live by the weekend. I'm making it exactly like my other forum http://www.quadswest.com. Check my quadswest forum out and let me know how we could customize sledswestforum for the sledheads instead of the ATV riders. Hopefully we can get this forum up and running with a good amount of disgruntled snowesters and make it a real snowmobiling forum instead of a teen chat room. I'll let you all know when I have the forum up and ready to roll.

Open to any suggestions as far as formatting, forum organization, and forum rules, etc. Lets make this one work!

$30 for 3 yrs. with improvements. I'm in for the long haul. I like some moderation to keep this site clean and fun. I just can't dedicate the time to surf multiple sites trying to figure out who's where and what works best. Maybe the riff raff will leave and SW will be a better place in the long run.

This site has been way too kind by allowing us to make some great friends and create a way to stay in touch with them and plan nothing but the best get togethers. We're just not petty enough to give that up.

Final note: If Harris Publishing makes money hosting a great site and publishing a magazine, good for them. I get tired of people thinking profit is a four letter word.

BTW: X2 for us $$$

Hell I pay more for cable I don't watch for 1 month than I will for SW for 36 months.

youre not getting it SU. this site is only worthwhile because its free. once it becomes a pay site its membership will dwindle drastically as will participation. seems to me about 10 years ago amsnow was bigger than snowest, then amsnow went paysite, now they suck ***. that is why I wont pay, not because its not worth it, but because the masses will migrate to the best free site. sw is retarded for doing this, they should focus on ads and other ways to profit from the traffic here. I hope they make a billion dollars, just keep this site free.

You guys aren't considering the fact that it is not a MANDATORY pay. The $9.99 a year is only for premium content on of which you don't have right now anyway............about the only thing that would become limited to the everyday user right now would be the amount of PM storage.

DOOtalk has been doing this for years already. I think they have an absolute fantastic site. Their content and people are awesome. No pissing matches or garbage, just good quality content.

That is what we have here in the Utah section!

BTW- I have not yet paid the $25 to join the DOOcrew on Dootalk. I still have an awesome experience over there. Been there almost 4 years and made some fantastic friends. I intend to do the same here. $9.99 to me is worth it. If they make a profit, great. Hopefully I will see some of that back in the way of benefits for being a member.

I am with Ron on this one. I think it will make things better! Just let them do what they are going to do as far as infrastructure goes.........if you are a happy customer? Stick around....pay if you wish. If not? Then go elsewhere!! Keep in mind this ain't happening till at least mid 2010 if not later. Don't leave before the fireworks are even over out of angst!!!!

I thnk you are wrong. There are a number of sites setup like this doing very well. Planetsand is one. Everyone on that site said all the same things as is being said here. Yet most everyone stayed and paid. That site is the site to be in the sand world. As this is with snow. People will pay. I will be one.
