Ok, what's the plan?

So Utah peeps, what are your thoughts on the pay to play model that is coming to Snowest? You going to stick it out or bail?

I have been running a mailing list called Westride for many years now, since before the WWW laid itself on top of the internet. It works pretty well and you get the messages delivered right to your inbox. It's just email so it works great for simple, meaningful communication.

I'd like to maintain the Mafia relationships but I am nearly done with Snowest already and going pay is probably going to push me the rest of the way off... sorta irks me that, regardless of what people are saying, someone wants to make money off of my knowledge sharing.

I don't want to hash that all over again here, I'm just curious what all your thoughts are on having to pay to just have a common place for all of us to organize rides and such.

I've gotten tons of information on here and would hate to leave. On the other hand though i'm not gonna pay to use this site when there is tons of other sites out there that everyone will eventually migrate to anyways if it goes pay and bring all there knowledge with them.

I don't use it enough to pay. I'm here for entertainment and like you said to see where to ride next. Just as easy to text people. The good thing has been the Communication we get out of this site on current events good or bad, as well as meeting new peeps. I wouldn't pay, just jump the border again!!LOL!

Looks like some of us have already migrated to another site (B. C. R.). So I guess we already have a back up plan.

So true. The bad thing also is they don't like being Moderated.
I honestly like some Moderation cuz we refresh while passing by the Laptop and always have kids around. Plenty of other sites to get your inappropriate girly fixes. Guess that's why I don't go to fouled plug. If they get their speeds up to snuff I'll stick around. I've heard #'s like $10 a year. Pretty sure I could work that into the budget if it keeps all these good peeps united.

Always better to fight land issues as a big group too.
