Yeah it's gettin' damn* expensive to fill up sleds, boats,n bikes.

Glad I have a job getting that crude oil out of the ground.:beer;

Been very damn* cold this winter moving those rigs, 3 -20 rig moves so far.

i say we revolt! lol like that ever would happen. it really gets my shorts in a bundle when the prices of gas comes up....the oil co. know the whole world runs on oil so why not just give it to us all in the a$$ and make some money off us. they know we cant live without it so as long as we need it we will keep paying these prices. and what really tiks me off diesel is from "the bottom of the refining barrel" and less refind than gas(correct me if i am wrong) and the cheapest to make and it is the most expensive at the pump! WTF! and you gotta love the record profits they are making! i really want to slap these guys!

You guys need to stop subscribing to the bull**** "blame the oil companies" mentality ...

You should, quite frankly, be THRILLED that a US oil company such as Exxon is doing as well as they are.

Think about it, if they weren't, who would be? Saddam? Hugo Chavez?

ExxonMobil isn't setting oil prices, Opec is. They can't sell their product at a loss just so the general public can "feel good". They wouldn't stay in business doing that.

Believe me, the reason ExxonMobil is making record profits is because that company is the best operating company in the world. They have the brightest, hardest working people I've worked with in the field, they are very smart in the way they conduct their operations, and they take what they do very seriously.

Hell they wouldn't even grant me a job interview at the career fair the semester I graduated because they were only interviewing engineers who graduated with a 3.7+ GPA  ...

4.09 per gallon

I have seen my first diesel price over 4.00 it is 4.09 near my house today (Seattle/Tacoma area). It is getting very hard to justify driving my truck. I am in the process of making my first tank of biofuel, the hard part isn't making the fuel it is getting the veggie oil, all the restaurants allready have someone picking up there oil. They will charge whatever we continue to pay for fuel and not feel bad about it.

Have you ever worked for a company wrapped up in marks?? LAME

I know companies that specifically do not want high GPA grads because they generally have no social skills and are just 'book smart'

High oil is good for me!! Looks like the bonuses will be good this year. haha!!

Dogmeat is absolutely right in what he is saying. The blame on the high price of oil is falling on our shoulders, and rightly so. If the people in this country would come together and stop being so greedy and "ME" oriented, we could only help ourselves. It is a very simple concept, Supply vs. Demand. If we would lessen the demand, then the supply will increase....then guess what, the price of oil will go down. Americans need to make a better effort to not abuse our resources, we are only hurting ourselves. I love to snowmobile, and I have no problem in making personal sacrifices so I can enjoy it. If that means riding my bike to run errands, etc., I have no problem doing so. We all need to have this mentality to lessen the demand, and then maybe we will not have to wonder if we will be paying $5.00 a gallon.

At the rate it's going, I'll be using a Vespa scooter to haul my sleds to Revy.

China is becoming a huge drain on the oil market. I'm sure they'd like to stick a straw into Fort Mac and start sucking if they could.

I've been saying this for years but most people don't believe it or they give you that deer in the headlights look like "WTF is OPEC?".:eek:

Everyone blames the oil company because they cant accept responsibility for their own actions (driving more every year...by mileage). They feel the oil company owes them low gas prices...Hello, these are publicly traded FOR PROFIT companies. Supply and demand will always rule....as it should. (my oil stock looks better and better every day...everybody keep driving!!!!!!!) :D

It's funny that someone mentioned the oil reserve in the Montana area as I have a freind that works for a with a drilling company and he said they literally drill one and cap another as there is so much of it , and then they pump it thru lines heading north , makes no sense.

Uh... could be a recession, more like a worse recession...

We have been on an economic downturn for some time now. Well at least our dollar is still strong...... NOT.

Us just needs to start drilling for crude in alaska that is where all the oil is. If it weren't for all the bs permits gas would be alot cheaper.

there is just no reason for it none at all someone should have steped in way back when it hit two dollars a gallon this is rediculous they just raise it just because they know everyone will pay it when will the goverment step in and say something and actually get somehting adone about it with gas going up so will everything else that is shiped the shippers have to charge a surcharge to recoop there fuel prices so when do we as consumers rise up and say we had enuf what can we do no one has a answer

Allready happening. Ft Mac is holding the whole economy of Canada up. Too bad hardly anyone realizes it.

I'm totally capitalist, but I don't agree with a word you said there.

Oil campanies should not be able to charge anything they want. While they are making record profits, there are people that can't afford to drive to work because prices are too high.

If high oil/gas prices were the only thing that went up, that would be one thing, but the whole world's economy depends on REASONABLE fuel prices. When the price of oil goes up, so does everything else, from the toys you buy your kids to the food you eat off your plate( and the plate too!!)

When you have an economy that depends so much on oil, that wealth should not be in the hand of a very few, as far as I'm concerned, the few major oil companies have a monopoly. My A$$ that EXXON and company don't have anything to do with the price of oil.

I always here this supply and demand crap, that's the biggest crock ever. If that were the cause, and the reason for high prices, would we not see a curb in the demand for oil??? The supply is there, as far as I can see( and I'll admit, sometimes that's not that far) everyone is getting what they want, as long as they can shell out the bucks, seems like plenty of supply to me. The demand continues to rise, and the supply is there.

You're going to blame it on people because they drive more? Of course, it must be the little guys fault. I'll tell you one thing, I had nothing to do with setting up our need for oil, it's just a fact of life in today's age. The health or our economy and world economy is dependent on CHEAP oil, if this BS keeps up you will see a whole lot more people suffer, and our econmy will ocntinue to go to the dogs.

When the health of our economies depends on oil, there is no way in hell a very few should control that, and they DO!!! It's not right and it is certainly NOT american. The oil compaines could still make massive profits if the barrel or oil were half of what it is now, and it would not cause a massive surge in demand if that were to happen.

Supply and demand my A$$

Greed and sulfishness is at the root of this!!

Okay, there's my rant for the day.

Mark my words.

The prices are as high as they are now because they can, it's just that simple.

With barrel price being based on the US dollar, is the barrel price really going up? Or is it just reflecting the depreciated value of our dollar? I understand that OPEC is thinking of changing to a Euro based barrel price with our $ being so unstable.
