Official Coquihalla Summit Snow Report

A buddy and myself should be heading out to the Henning area on Sunday on Snowbikes to check it out. There's gotta be enough.. Just without a bottom we'll be having a good work out.

Jon

i heard they won't be logging or plowin the 10k road anymore this year :face-icon-small-hap, i'll be up sunday as well, who's playin hookie today though - give us an update! so stoked can't think about anything else.

Was up there this morning for a quick ride. There is a solid foot of snow and it was starting again when I left. I met an escavator around 10km up the road and they walked it out to the parking lot so that kinda ruined the snow.

i'll make room, need a pull start by sat night or else jesse's is gettin broken in.
might be goin to whistler now tho, call me

Headed up to the coke today. Dropped at briton, headed up henning, dropped into the peanut bowl. about 2 feet of snow... nice fluffy powder ripped around there all day. snow blowing up over the hood. Great first ride. except for getting charged by a huge bull moose, and the busted shock, and A arms on my buddies polaris.

anyone going up should remember to watch out for the hidden land mines.

I attached a few pics.

Went out around Henning today, not too shabby for early season. Still too thin to just go wherever you want, but it wasn't too bad!

It was friggen cold out there, that's for sure! There were some wet holes which won't be wet by tomorrow morning. It must of been -20°C out there.

Yeah the temp on sunday was pretty damn cold! things were cracking that shouldn't have! coverage was alright, but definately need more. Good base underneath the new though! The stove in the cabin was definately a welcome treat! The camera batteries were completly drained or i would have some pics! Woke up this morning with a little frostbite... You get any frostbite BurtonXp?

no frostbite here, eggs warmed me up. need more snow! who said they went to 10k ?

I got a little frostbite on the knuckles as well - it was way cold up there and eggs weren’t cuttin for me – maybe I should have put them in my gloves! Supposed to get some more snow staring Thursday and it looks like 10cm in town. Nice…:face-icon-small-coo

Hey M-8!! i heard you were taking me and burton xp out for sushi and beer? is this true?? we might reveal some of our sledding tricks to you...

You heard right Sledjunky, but I think it would be selfish of me to keep all the tricks to myself. I was thinking, there has to be some other people interested in learning some of your sleding tricks, maybe we can all get together this weekend and you could put on a Sleding Trick seminar? What do you say guys - I will supply the sushi and beer!

Hey brandon ;-)

im heading up the coq sunday, gonnna try to get into 10k. Who knows if we will or not. let you know monday how it was

Just got back from the Coq, Have to say I was a little disappointed. Don't know where all the snow fell but it sure was not up there. It is Ok for the first ride of the year but don't expect to go just anywhere...
Big mud puddle into 10k, 10" deep and 12' wide...... good times...
Came back to the Henning side it was ok... Still lots of debris to hit, really have to watch where you are going and be careful with the throttle...
Cheers

Fishon isn’t too far off, the mud puddle on the way up to 10K was huge! Henning was ok, if you looked around there was some decent pockets of snow. The only advice I can offer is "if it looks like a rock then it’s a rock”. I was surprised how many people were riding on Sunday – it was pounded out quickly. Tried riding towards Tyne and I think everyone else was thinking the same thing. Let’s hope we get some snow this week – need….. to…. ride…..
