God dammit, I HATE LeTourneau!! LOL They are awesome to operate when they work. But working on them is an absolute nightmare. When one of our L1850's is down or in for a service, guys take holidays to avoid working on them.

Off Season fun is starting to wind down. Here's a few pics of the summer toys.

Harley Street Glide with a bunch of goodies and a Big Dog Chopper.

Fortunately for me I dont have to run the LeTourneau anymore! About a year ago they bought be a brand new Komatsu WA1200 :face-icon-small-win

Just finished doing a bunch of work on my bike, I'm just a few weeks away from decent riding... a little more snow melt.

I added a coolant reservoir to fight boil overs, some grab straps on the seat and front fender, and did a bunch of polishing, and maintenance.

I just picked this up Mar 31st. My early B-day present. It's a 2012 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Custom.

Not over here by a long shot... we had 2+ ft of fresh over the hood last weekend:face-icon-small-sho:face-icon-small-hap:rockon:

Wow, 2ft I havn't been over 3500' in a month...Been workin on the 900 every spare moment, took 'er on the test ride with my honey on the trail couple days ago...ran great..Think I am ready for pow!!! Where r u riding in yakima?? I worked there a few years ago with the helicopters:high5:

I dove into my bike engine today, waiting for parts to freshen her up for this season!
She's getting:
-Hotrods crankshaft kit (my con rod big end bearing is getting some slop)
-Allballs crank bearings and seals
-Pro-X piston kit
-Cometic gasket kit, and thin base gasket
-Clarke 3.2gal fuel tank

The ring was worn thin in one spot, I'm thinking it got hot at some point to weaken it, or the jarring from a sloppy con rod may have accelerated wear in one spot? Cylinder is in mint shape.
Lots of brownish crud on the piston, looks like I was burning some trans oil or something... not sure. The wash is a little dry I think, probably from riding last fall in cooler temps... I did not re-jet for it:face-icon-small-dis
I also found my trans input shaft bearing has some play, good timing.

Anyone have thoughts on the ring wear? Ive never seen this before.
