I don't get involved politically with any activism but for those that do, it is their right. What makes you think you know so much? Since you seem to talk down on people that actually study and know political science, what are your qualifications?

How Bush is remembered as president, by history, will be directly effected by what happens during Obama's watch. One attack, because Obama was stealing from rich, rather than protecting the country, is all it will take. But, in the end, Bush didn't get OSAMA, so he'll always be a failure, as far as I"m concerned. He should have gotten that bastage. Who knows, there's still time for Bush to pull a rabbit out of his hat.

Oh come on sldguy, your old enough to know that history is written 30 years after. A lot of Bush's decisions will be looked at in the future, with hindsight and greater understanding of what was really going on. He may go down as the worst, but you'll have to wait to see if it gets written that way. Guess it also depends on which party is writing the history books.
No sleddy, I pegged you a long time ago. Older, weed smokin, hippy who is trying to relive 1969. I know it's hard for most of you, especially the koolaid drinkers, to keep up so I'll try and keep it simple. I do not think Bush was a great Pres. I do think he's a decent man but he acted far more like a big gov't and big spending liberal than any Pres before him including the Dems. I also think his policies have kept this country safe for the last 7 years. I do tend to align more with his take it to the enemy policies than I do the great liberal panacea (oops there I go using big words sorry) that we should just sit down and reason with our sworn enemies. Maybe if we gave them billions of dollars of aid they would stop wanting to attack anything western? I guess it's just the kind of person I am. If you come after me I'd just as soon f you up right then and there than plead with you to be nice. The funny thing is the same koolaid drinkers that think we are the cause for all hate towards the west are the same people that the Taliban would march out into the town square and cut their f'in heads off. Smoke weed in Iran and see what happens to you. March down the street in Islamabad in favor of gay rights and watch what happens. I chose the party I support not based on any individual or party plank but rather a well thought out selection of which party best represents my points of view. I'm not gay. I'm not a female. I'm not a minority. I don't expect the gov't or anyone to take care of me. I worked my a$$ of to put myself through college and earn two degrees, Comp Sci & Mathematics. I make good money because of it and don't owe you or anyone else a damn dime of it. Work your own damn a$$ off or die it's not my problem and I don't give a F. We haven't even touched land use or sledding issues because you already said there are many things more important to you when choosing a gov't than your sled. Thank you kind sir! I'll keep you guessing for a while on who sldgy is and what he is all about. Maybe we will have to do a real world, face to face over a few beers someday. I'll bet we would both be amazed at what we discovered. For this is the internet you know, and a person can be anyone, or anything they want to be.

HINT: My internet presence is an escape from a stressful job, what you see is not even close to what you get. Beer is cool, your now on my bucket list.
Sleds? I thought this was a cross country skiing forum? I guess that explains why it was so hard to install a tether on my ski pole....
Only sled I have is orange and while it does have a rope, it doesn't start anything...

You can only guess what a person is like, by what they say, and how they present themselves. If you put on a facade, expect to be viewed that way. Unless you want someone to cut away the facade with a pocket knife.
