nytro vs. XP

Besides all the above being said, the Nytro as all other Yami products are super reliable. Turn the key and ride, no visits to the dealer till 5000 km's when you need an oil filter. For me, the reliabilty is the most important part, nothig worse than fuggin with your sled daily, buying gears, belts, chains and the list goes on. And, look at the potetial the 4 stroke offers, down the rode you can buy a turbo and still be 20 times more reliable with an extra 150 HP.

As well, you will find in this Yami section (crowd) is prolly the best group, most knowledgable and most helpfull out of all the other brands on here. Not a decision maker i know, but it sure is nice to have a good group of fella's always helping one another rather than being a bunch of asshats.

Yamaha@5000kms=oil filter. Ski-doo@5000Kms=top end X 1.5 + (and the list goes on..)
How's my math??

Just my .02....the Nytro is closer than you'd think and does quite good...it surprises a lot of people. I was on the same boat(I was a Rev rider) but after seeing BRP continuously screw it's customers over and over again I opted for the Nytro. I truly do not know why anyone would want an XP aside from the weight.

what to get

as said the doo will out climb a stock nytro no ? but I had a m1000 last year and an apex, stock for stock the 1000 killed the apex yet i had more fun rideing the apex, I rode the apex more than the cat before I put the turbo on, after the turbo the cat went by by.
you could also figure that if your budies cant loose you on there skidos this year they are in for a stompin when you get boost

exactly, only thing it is lacking is a tough shocks (all sleds are lacking here imo), and storage.

Though the suspension is really quite good. I have everything maxed out and it is nice and supple, handles really well. Just can't bang through whoops nor jump like it is a 440 rev (yet, think we need a high roller smilie), but it is a mountain sled.

Plus is sound really cool compared to the 2 strokes. I find it interesting that BRP still makes carbed sleds. Fuel injection/Port injection offers a lot of benefits too.

....same question hear. I rode a Nytro last week and am thinking about it (would get MPI stage II) but I am having some reservations..... the qaulity of the seld is unbelievable and it seems to run like a BMW.

1. I am really a boondocker type rider and so are all my buddies. We are in the thick trees, stuck alot, rolling my sled over alot) and I'm worried about taking this sofisticated of sled into the woods hard. Anybody doin this with the boosted sled's and enjoying it?

2. Did I mention that I get stuck while boondocking and am worried about the mass when I'm getting unstuck. Any opinions? I think this is where I'd get worn out

3. .......is bashing a 15-20k dollar sled thru the woods totally a stupid a$$ thing to be doing:confused::confused:

....my other thought is a ground up built M8 / M1000 with boost.....

Turbo sleds don't get stuck, you just wipeout. Plus you only have to dig it halfway out then grab a fist full of HP. You might have a hard time digging your buddy's sled out of the grave you just made him!

with the tunnel and boogie stuffed with a **** load of snow the bastard sled is heavy wether its an XP or a Nytro.
