Nytro trenching fixed, with Video

Thanks for the advice on the limiter straps. From past experience on an Apex I have found that the "wings" that bolt on to Simmons Skis worked awesome for hifax lubrication. My dealer told me that they would fit on stock skis as well.

one thing you DON'T want to do is set the front of your skid on your helmet when you are adjusting in the woods:rolleyes: I caved in my old Yammy Wedge helmet doing this!!! Looks like that one was due anyways:face-icon-small-win

yep I have had the same problem 500 miles and had to change hyfax
I added Hartmens ski scratchers. This should help keep sled cooler and track lubed at least that is what i have been told will tell you in 500 miles if it worked. But are the factory hyfaxs good? My old arctic cat dealer would never sell AC hyfaxs, but carried another brand of grafite hyfax. Not sure of the brand? I always got 2000 miles out of them. so I will call him and see what brand he always buys

My sled has a little over 1k miles on it now and my hyfax look fine. I bought the standard stock ones and they have held up well as long as you remember to put the scratchers down on hardpack.

I think it is a problem with the newer generation skids...I know the apex eats hyfax, and it looks like the Nytro will too without scratchers.

so does the nytro with scratchers! think i ride to fast, handles so good!:D

i had the hyfax problem on my apex. i ran hyperfax and i ran the sled on trails all day and it was still fine. (i stopped to still kick snow on them once in awhile, and scratchers work great too). But i still get wear at the tip of the rail cause everytime i hit the the throttle in pivots and puts extra weight on the bend in the rail. Solution? Run straight Rails, hyperfax, and scratchers and u could ride trails all day and nite. My ice age rails should be in any time now.
