Idaho slim has it right.
I'm assuming no one really read the thread or understood it?? I didn't say it was 2-3 feet of fresh pwder, the FST would have probably been killed! I din't say the hill was a 60-70-80 degree slope, it was 45 at most. The snow had a rock hard base that you couldn't get stuck in if you tried. And in those conditions the FST was the fastest. That's it. I also said that those of us who don't ride the XP's couldn't ride them, but the owners of them could do amazingly well.. I've been told it takes a while to get used to the XP, the none XP owners rode them for about 15 minutes, not enough time to get used to them.
The M8 we had with us in Alpine was an absolute dream to boondock on! That thing is so light I told Matt it almost makes you feel like your cheating, it's just so light feeling to ride. But set up? Probably not, this is a magazine sled, I'm sure it came to him right out of the box. It ran flawless all day, and un like the FST it didn't wear you out to ride.
My point, has always been about the motor in the FST, if Polaris would let loose with some programing codes and stick that motor in a RAW chasis it would be an animal, as it is now, it's a damn fast crossover that can and does out run it's competition IN THE RIGHT CONDITIONS!!!
