No skill, pin it & go tale of the tape..

Cause nothing beats the XP, ever, right. God you guys are hilarious. Well heres some more bad news for ya. We were out this weekend, and an 09 M8 with a itty bitty 153 was the champ in some tough snow on almost every hill we climbed on. Thing was stock, can and intake and it rocked. And spare me the "yeah must have been the rider" crap, cause it didn't matter unless the really fat guy was on the Cat. The Xp I was on plus one other were 163's, a couple other 154's. XP's were nicer to ride on the trail in, FWIW. No Dragon this time, just a couple Rev's, they did OK.

Interesting..........2 weeks ago in revy , waist deep fresh . 08 163 xp and 2 09 m8s 153s. All bone stock. The same rider. The m8s could get out of a bowl using the track the xp left.

Oh you guys.... Some of you make me laugh, just because you don't believe your XP's can be beat by a virtually unknown sled, doesn't mean it can't happen. I never said I didn't like the XP's, just said they were the slowest that day... And as for the FST all I can say is yep, it's pretty heavy, no I wouldn't want to boondock with it all day BUT in those conditions where horsepower, NOT traction or flotation ruled, the FST couldn't be beat period!

The FST and myself will be going to Alpine with American Snowmobiler magazine, and Troy from TJ's in Alpine this week. Were going to have some M 8's some of Troy's modded and turboed Nytro's and a stock Nytro. Possibly another Dragon 8 and a XP. We'll let you read the results when finished, don't say I didn't warn you, The FST's haul azz!

By the way, XP's and Dragons ride better, handle better, boondock better, the FST just seriously hauls!! =)
Anyone who's ridden one stock knows that it does not "haul," so what's done to it?

Doo riders and Montreal Canadian fans...the most loyal people on the planet...The Montreal Canadians (maybe Yankee fans in The US would be a better fit) could go 0-82 for the season and in the eyes of their fans they would be the greatest 0-82 team ever!!! Doo puts out the XP and the thing eats 4 belts for every jug of oil(I know its sorted out now so dont get upset) and Doo riders think its the salvation to snowmobiling...this thing will walk on water, paddle air and beat any turboed Apex on the mountain, and if they dont, it must be the conditions or the other sled must be hiding something. I love it... I absolutely admire their abillity to look past any information that does not proclaim the DIVINITY of the Doo. I used to be like that with Polaris....then the 900, need I say more(I ride a M1000 now). so in short heres to ya!!! DOO riders and Montreal Canadian fans..:beer;:beer;:beer;:beer; may the truth NEVER stand in your way

Hmmm... Spend any time on Hardcoresledder?? Slightly different story.

The FST switchbacks (yes! the longer ones!) seems to do quite well.
You can forget the BIS, but for $650 you have a 170Hp ECU reflash on a 4-stroke (torque...).

Amazingly enough, the STOCK one I rode didn't have said chip. We had one out on a nice day last year, about a foot of new snow on a good base at 7,000 feet and it was a slug....nothing impressive about it. Just a big heavy slow unit. I'm not saying you can't spend some money and make it fast or fun, I'm saying that in stock form it had nothing on any of the modern mountain sleds.

There's no doubt that the poo's would take the xp's on a flat land race, it's all in the gearing. Point them uphill on a tough climb and see the difference. My m7 beats the xp's and assaults on the lake races no problem. Uphill we're a little closer. With my 800 bigbore, it's now a whole different outcome. It rocks!!! Eat my snow dust xp's!!!!

If you want to improve the XP my friend put a maverick track and a new rear skid on his and it made a big difference . Works very well in the powder . I ride a dragon so it's not like I'm totally for the XP's .

Just curious, but how many threads are devoted to this same old dumbassed argument...but what do I know? I'm middle aged and ride an "obsolete" machine.

Go ride. Have fun. Don't get killed. Take pics. Post pics.

That is all.

That is pretty damn funny....I have a skidoo and spend some time on dootalk....pretty impressive the yellow goggles that the members there sport....

My XP has cured the following: AIDS, Cancer, MS, spinal cord injury, diabetes, West nile virus, the common cold, and Jock itch. It's also eliminated World hunger and Global warming. It's also found Jimmy Hoffa, Elvis, Emelia Earhart, and Steve Fosset. All of that being said, it still eats more belts than Ralphie May eats donuts. Ain't life grand:face-icon-small-win

Sorry Jay, I put two things in there.

1. The stockers run good

2. Cheap 30Hp extra is real cool.

Apologize for the confusion;)
