New Turbo Purchase - T3 163

Boost-it uses they're "boost-it' it fuel box, its fully compensating also as I had one on my nytro, worked awesome plus you can tweak it to exactly how you want it and just ride. I went with another Impulse kit myself for my T3 as I had his system last year on my xm. Fit and finish was exceptional and his fuel box is plug and play literally, no buttons to push or anything and runs perfect sea level up to the 11000' I was at
Yeah I'm super impressed with my impulse kit. My Silber I was always adjusting the fuel controller and monitoring the afr, not to mention problems with kit assembly and so on I had. I rode a couple miles down the lake by my house last year with the impulse and at mid range where the afr's are the highest it sat steady and perfect. And on top of that the throttle response is amazing, it felt like riding a big note.

Its good to hear that the impulse kits are working well. I was a little leary of the claims because I heard the same thing with the nytros.......and then every impulse nytro I have seen has had a boost it box installed to run properly. Probably going to get flamed for saying that.......but its the truth. But if the mapping is that good on the xms that no adjustment is needed thats great. Just tired of hearing sales pitches, spending a bunch of money, and then finding out it was just that.....a sales pitch. Boondocker has been really bad for this in my experience.

I got sucked in on the sales pitch with Silber, garbage kit and complete rip off. I did a lot of homework the second time around and talked to a lot of people riding boosted xm's and settled on the impulse, hands down best one out there imo

impulse had a growing pain on its tune last season, cost me a set of reeds, but a reflash latter it's been running hard

Gotta keep the rpm off the rev limiter to make reeds last..

This statement is more than a little misleading. I ran the first Impulse map for almost 2 seasons and it ran simply awesome. Just like you, I found out the hard way that you have to keep the etecs OFF THE REV LIMITER or you will get a backfire when the stock ecu cuts the timing and fuel. To say that you lost a set of reeds because of Impulse's "tune" is ridiculous. Banging a sled off the rev limiter is purely you not setting your clutching where it needs to be and has nothing to do with the fueling of your sled. Once I got my clutching right I never had an issue... with either of Impulses maps (obviously). Sorry to sound harsh, but I really think that claiming Impulse had a "growing pain on it's tune" isn't very accurate and should be cleared up.

I think the reason Paul at Impulse made an update to his tune is because the T3 or the 2015 etec 800's came out with a leaner midrange than the previous etecs.
