You want to be a better sales man? Listen to what your customer is saying to you.
If they are looking at polaris; ask them what type of riding they like. Polaris has a trail sled, a work sled, a mountain sled, etc.
If they are looking at ski doo; ask them what type of riding they like. I think you get the picture.
You are nothing more than a means for them to achieve their goal of getting the sled that they want. All you have to do is show it to them, tell them about it, and commit them to making that purchase. Do what they want you to do...

Biased or unbiased, evryone loves their new toy when it comes out of the box. For years I thought I'd never ride a SkiDoo, then my Polaris crapped out and i tried aSkiDoo and loved it. Now the new Polaris has me wanting to come back. The way it handles and fit for me ffels awesome.

m_beeson, I feel like I've always done a pretty good job at letting units sell themselves. But from my experience, most customers have a few questions to ask, especially when they're about to spend $10k For the most part, I just let the customer go in whatever direction he/she wants to go in, and I'll follow, point out a few features, and try to answer questions. I just have to know how to answer them, so that's why I'm here trying to get some input! I've had a LOT of questions at the Arctic Cat dealership dealing with comparisons to other brands, and I've rarely been able to answer those adequately. More often than not, customers ask questions about anything other than stats that can be found in a catalog, and it sure helps to be able to answer those
