New to Moscow, looking to meet local Sledders.

Just moved to Moscow, ID from Missoula, MT a week ago and just picked up my new to me sled yesterday. Looking to meet some locals to show me around the area and prevent me from going out by myself. I am a avid backcountry skier, avy knowledgable as well, and have no clue where to start looking to sled or ski.

Would appreciate meeting some new friends and can bring the beer.
I am a novice sledder and just moved from a 583 144 track to an 800 159 track and very very anxious to go try it out. Shoot me an email if you're game or give me a call 406-396-6332.

Thanks,
Max

Go talk to Bruce at the auto body place south of town (green building on the east side of the road). I've also got a buddy down there in Moscow, but he's kind of a douche :D What sled did ya get?

Go to Dale's boat service which is the local Arctic Cat dealer. The current owner is Rick he usually sleds with Gene and do most of there riding out of Elk River.

RMKcowboy- I got the same sled you have, 03 Vertical Escape 159. I am so excited I can barely hide it, been worthless at home and at work. I actually know Bruce from back in the day when I did my undergraduate here and wasn't sledding, he would be a great resource. Will have to hit him up.

Lot's of people are suggesting Elk River, I know the area from the summer but sounds like it gets kinda crowded up there. Would it be crazy people up there this weekend? On the otherside of things I think I need to go ride this sled and get a feel for it before I just take off somewhere new. Thanks for the replies everyone.

Only been to Elk River once... it wasn't too bad for people. I wouldn't go this coming weekend if you want to avoid a crowd though.
