New Sled Hauler...

So just thinking when I come down to ride with you this year and we shove all 5 sleds in your trailer are you gonna allow 5 people to sit in the bently or you gonna make me follow you up in my truck which would be pointless?....I showed my wife the trailer and then I looked at her and she said dont even think of asking about it your truck does just fine.

Don't try to keep up with him. He funnels money for a living.

Hey Ryan, do you have a sloped driveway? Does it drag backing it up into it if so?

I do have a sloped driveway but I have not backed this trailer into it yet. My old one certainly would drag because it only sat like 12 inches off the ground...this one has to sit around 20" off the ground if memory serves me right.

You building a toy hauler with them???

They quoted me one, but wound up not going that route. The one I just ordered will be very similar to yours ... wound up going with the All Sport model and 7K axles, so the axles will raise it up a little bit .... I don't think it'll drag jack knifing it into my driveway, but I guess if it does that'll learn me to buy a trailer this big haha.

I'm definatley gonna have to get me a bigger truck one of these days now hahaha

So you went with Double R Trailers though? Mine has the 6k axles so it sounds like you went with the same thing (All Sport) with a little stiffer axles? How long did you go? What color scheme? DETAILS my friend:)

31' All Sport ... 24' box, 7' nose ... tandem 7K axles.

Fully insulated, polybead flooring, overhead cabinets in the nose as well as lower cabinets, 42k btu heater, wired for 2 AC units, generator compartment, eTrax along the walls, a couple windows, solid steel brace inset in the ceiling towards the rear of the trailer strong enough I can hang the back of a sled up on it, 110v package, undercoating, yada yada .... I ordered one pretty nicley equipped ;)

This is roughly the same trailer (albeit steel) that Triton quoted me, and the total price came out to about $8k less than what Triton quoted.

I think I'll probably have them add some fold down benches and nice wheels before its all said and done ....

It will be Black and Red :)

Yep. I don't think that half ton gasser is gonna do it. Time for Doggy to go diesel. There goes another 60k. Good thing he ain't married cause he wouldn't after those purchases. ;)

Weight Distribution Hitch

Ryan, PM me about riding I'm in Castle Rock. You will WANT a weight distribution hitch for that thing. I pulled my 28' Charmac trailer to Saratoga once without one and it's flat out dangerous in a crosswind on a snowy road. I bought the equalizer hitch for mine and love it. They really settle down the trailer and truck.

highstick~

Ya man, got the weight distribution hitch from my old trailer that I have always used. Also run the sweigh control on one side and might even go to a double sweigh control on this trailer just to be safe;)

Certainly about the riding...I head through there every Saturday during the winter at around 4:45am heading to the Target off I-25 and Arapahoe to pick up the other guys I ride with. What do you ride? What kinda riding you like? We are always willing to take another guy with us...as long as he doesn't ride a ski-doo:):):face-icon-small-ton
