**New RMK Pro 800 only 143hp***

You know what's lame? The fact that the Pro has out-performed all the other sleds with only 143 HP! LOL

Imagine if it had more power! Again, usable power is more important than one spot where it peaks.

No....whats lame is the ridiculous internet pissing match people get into every time a new sled comes out.

Pick a sled...ride it...have fun......is it that fawking difficult?

:deadhorse:

It made 148 hp by the way, with the non-ethanol resistor installed but with 9% ethanol still in the tank. With rings that prolly werent seated. Seated rings and 91 octane non-ethanol(available in my area) im guessing 150-152. But dyno numbers dont matter thant much anyway. Just wanna ride.

I would say this is pretty normal until the snow starts to fly.

It doesn't matter what sled you are on. Ultimately it will come down to rider and not the sled.

Wow some people. Who gives a **** about Dynos? The first ride on my 2011 assault had more power and torque then my XP last year, 2010 M8's that I've ridden, etc etc.

Bring your cool dyno sheets to the backcountry and see if they'll win you the race.

I was at the New Hampshire grass drags and got to see it run. It didn't just outperform the other sleds...it destroyed them. It was very impressive and amazing to watch. The 800 ProR was by far the talk of the weekend.

I just can't wait to see the flood of threads saying how the Pro destroyed the Cats and Doos it was riding with that day....

The Dyno number is cool to see, but it don't mean the same thing in 3 different sleds with 3 different clutching methods, with 3 different tracks, and with 3 different handling tendencies.

Quite frankly a very premature statement. Realistically the Pros are barely getting onto the snow. Feel free to make that statement at the end of the season if it is justified. :face-icon-small-dis

WTF.....It's beating everything on the snow? Where did this happen? Our snotell is only showing 8". I'm ready to have my azz handed to me! :face-icon-small-ton

RMK should be great, but too late for me.

Just bought the M8 because I couldn't trust the RMK recent history. My gut feeling is it will be a great sled. I had the 2007 Dragon, and it treated me great! Would have loved to stay Polaris, but the one year warranty didn't cut it today.

this might be a clear indication of Polaris's marketing strategy. The biggest market segment is still 145 hp and less. Only some of us here are truly concerned with big numbers. The reality is that a well set 145 hp Pro will go places most of us have no business going. It is beyond our skill level.

For the vast majority of the market, a lightweight reliable 145 hp sled is more than enough. If you want more power, it can be easily found.

The smart thing about this is that Polaris will not have to waranty guys who are modding the engine. They are making reliable power that satisifies 90% of the market and the other 10% will just have to live without warranty
