Hell you want to see comedy? Oregons not very far. . .TRS comes out once or twice a year to Nevada, come on down & ride with Him! Everbody down here wants to know when he's come'n to ride! Hell I think it's so they can turn their phones off! The real comedy is after 18 days straight; 3/4 to 1 1/2 tanks fuel a day, is watching me tie my klim boots. so if you want a little laugh (humor) send me your number for next year. Or maybe it was after 5or6days riding in Cooke with me fallin on his shop's floor saying, "leave me alone, I'm taking tomorrow off!" We may blow them up but we ride'm like lawn mowers, & never seen any run 1/2 throttle! Any help is welcome.

including summarizing sleds.

Oregon... you don't need marvel to summarize a sled... you can do that with a keyboard.:face-icon-small-win

Yamaha : heavy
doo : handles like SH**
Poo : can't build a motor
Cat : won't just get smart & copy poo

There ya go, I summarized ALL of them... I'm quick like that :D

grammar nazi win.

My 2012 broke a piston skirt at 600 miles but my 2011 iss still running at 1400 miles. I need to vote again for the 2011.

New poll....same results.

Polaris motors seem to be failing at 2.5 times the rate of the Suzuki 800.

Let's just all agree to disagree. Roughly 15% of us feel the best sled ever made has an extremely below average motor as far as longevity. 85% feel the best sled ever made has no motor problems. I don't see anybody convincing the other side of anything different.

I only hope that Polaris doesn't actually believe that 15% failure is with in spec's.

I wish I could fit a Suzuki carb'd 900 under the hood of a pro.

Why wish?

When Brad can fit his 1100 billet twin with twin pipes in there, you bet your a$$ there is room for a Cat 900.

roaming swapmeet...

short term memory Rune?I've seen plenty of the suzuki 800/900 mill with broken piston skirts taking out the entire crankcase.they were NOT bulletproof either.RKT is still offering GOOD forged pistons for the Pro.

There is a third group, that probably represents most of us PRO owners and that's the group that feels the PRO is the best mountain sled offered by anyone regardless of possible issues. I have yet to meet an experienced sledder riding any brand who would say their sled will never have an engine problem. They are two stroke motors boys and girls!! LOL

My Cat memory never went to deep...

Bulletproof and high performance snowmobiles don't exactly go hand in hand, but I do believe in 180+hp from an old Cat twin being much more reliable than my dear pro...

And it is going to be cheaper than modding my pro for power + reliability.

I'll check and see if my clearance is good this summer, then decide.

RK-Tek, PMS, Indydan, Wiseco, Terra Alps. I'll pick my poison one day...

Sorry, I don't quite agree with that. I've had a lot of sleds and all of them were 2 strokes. Added heads, pipes, reeds, nitrous....never had and issue with any of the motors. Sorry, getting around 165 hp out of 2002 Edge 800 RMK is not any harder on the motor than 150ish on the PRO. You lack faith in american know how. I didn't say that the motor should NEVER have a problem. I just don't think the problems that are surfacing with the pistons, rings, cylinders...are problems that are inherited through the use of a 2 stroke motor. Just the Polaris 2 stroke motor. I believe a motor should last around 3000 miles before doing a top end....and never have a cylinder or piston skirt break off.

Hey, I love my chassis! Even checked a 2013. That doesn't mean I don't want more reliability though. I am sorry, I just can't come to terms with accepting poor design and or engineering from Polaris. I have riden Polaris since I was a kid and I expect more out of them then what I have received so far with the Pro motor. Maybe I am setting myself up to be disappointed but I expect the best from the best. Chassis is there, just waiting for the motor to catch up.

This is like taking a long drive with twin 9 year old girls . . .

"Your sled is a piece of crap!"
"Is Not!"
"IS TOO!"

"Well your sled is ugly!"
"Is Not!"
"IS TOO!"

Don't make me stop this car !!!

If ya like what ya' got, why is it so important that you convince everyone else to like it?

If ya like the Cat, buy it.
If ya think the Poo is crap, don't buy it.

Now, let's talk about something that's usable, constructive or at least fun!
