New polaris sled.

Okay, someone with more suspension knowledge than me explain why the above pic would be better? Looks heavy, no?

With kind of rear suspension, you wouldn't need a tunnel, Think 2moto type design, with two skies. It could obviously be light. The 2moto's are 300 pounds. I don't think the suspension's any lighter, it's all the other stuff, you don't need.

I just know that if Polaris released a new motor/chassis/suspension combo next year I absolutley for %100 sure will _NOT_ be buying it.

In fact, I woudln't even consider it until it was in its third year of production.

Before you think third year think about the M1000 catastrophy. I bought one thinking the third year would be the best. I was wrong maybe year 6?

I didn't know there was an M1000 catastrophy... I was actually looking at snowchecking one of them last year ... am I glad I didn't?

I hope the sled does come out on the 24th so i do not look like i am full of crap!

It's also fun to speculate so let's keep it going.

Somebody's gotta have some spy photo's, let's see them!

I'm guessing a new seven mouldboard multiple reversible plough, mounted on a tractor(Polaris) via a three-point linkage

Polaris... for farmers... by farmers

Most farmers I know are more intelligent than most the crazy F***s I know that live in Canada.

Pulled this off of another site. Apparently while riding in the Upper Penninsula of MI, a few guys stumbled across some folks ripping around in a bowl. We've had TONS of snow up there this year, and it's fairly secluded.

"We saw some weird looking sleds around Twin Lakes middle of Dec. Looked like Polaris sleds with a real tall looking seat with what appeared to be a rear suspension that resembles a swing arm motocross suspension."

Another member:
"It's funny you say that. We were parked off the side of the Freda trail and once we we were noticed they ripped out of there. Yamaha was also up there but only seen engineers and such at the Parkview lodge in a meeting room with papered up windows."

Of course, it's all hearsay until we all see what they do, but interesting regardless.

Correct. Sled has moto-X style rear suspension. I believe it was to be released as a race chassis first as a replacement for the IQrr. Last I heard though was since the current race sled was doing so well the new chassis wasn't going to be released this year.

Looks like they are going back to T-arms and it will be a 700.

God, I lOVE this time of year here. :) it is as entertaining as anything out there on TV.

patience, folks. I hear it's based on a Segway with a track and all you do is lean to go. LOL. Oh, and new graphics.

Heard Levi will be riding the new sled at X games and it has something to do with the rear suspension be unbelievable as far as how it works.

I could see something like that with their existing front end.
The existing front end works so well i don't see them coming out with all new everything. It would be too much of a gamble.

That pic has been around for a few years (5 or 6), it was something a marketing firm came up with...or something like that.

they did prototype that sled 4 years ago..tested it for 3 weeks with a team of 3 polaris engineers/mechanics in my area...they stayed with me and my family as we were the only homestead within there testing ground...it was there old 650 rxl engine ported and upgraded efi..with direct injection..worked well...it was left behind and we use it for a bench beside our barbq pit every summer..kids love it..the seat still has spring in it...they told me to keep it top secret and they would be back...??...haven;t seen them since...i have two pregnent daughters from them and a sheep that walks funny now...i have a few things to discuss...i will give them the sled back if they take my daughters and grandkids..

You guys are all gullible. THAT IS the new sled. I have been on here long enough to know that rumors do come true.
