I am going to buy a bag. Like what I hear about the ABS. Could you give me some stats (eg. how many saves, etc.)

I have the imfo on the ABS. Looking for some stats from snow plulse. I can't seem to find anything about this bag other than it is new. Not getting a good feeling about this product. If I am going to spend a 1000+ on a bag I want to feel that it will work.

Their is no stats. The bag doesnt have a season on it. You dont have a good feeling then dont buy it. Pretty simple.
done deal ABS it is. Looked at both at the BC Snow show yesterday, Bought the ABS.
Having sold over a 100 ABS packs in the 3 years before switching to Snowpulse I had a few instances where bags were returned or wanted to be. On two instances the airbag apparently did not work during the test fire and there were several occassions where the bags leaked and they are not supposed to. I have also had someone approach me with a video of an ABS pack exploding. The ABS trigger uses a small pyrotechnic charge where the Snowpulse is a simple mechanical valve.
Yes, Snowpulse is new however it has got the European CE certification for personal protective equipment which is done independently. This costs a lot of money and involves very rigourous and in depth testing of the product. CE is actually held 50% liable if the product fails so you can be sure they have done their homework on the release mechanism, air bag material, stitching, using air, etc. The Snowpulse comes with a 3 year warranty and because it is cheap to refill you can test it and give yourself confidence in the product. I am not aware of any stated ABS warranty. This is not a product that someone comes up with overnight and the next day it is on the shelf. It has been researched, developed, and put together over many years.
The ABS is a good product but for myself the advantages of the the Snowpulse are significant and being extremely familiar with both products I have no doubts in the reliability and construction of the Snowpulse. This is based on dealings with over 100 ABS packs and now over a couple hundred Snowpulse packs.

Just bought a snowpulse pack today. Top of the line construction, comfortable, well thought out storage areas, now I just have to watch the instructional dvd and put the cylinder in. I'll let you know if it's a hassle or relativeley hassle free. So far I'm pumped about the new pack.

4 year warranty on the abs bag and dosent compressed air fluctuate with elavation and temp change

Yes the air pressure does fluctuate with temperature however the Snowpulse cylinder filled to 3000psi at room temperature will inflate quickly and effectively to a temperature of -30 celsius. Below that temperature it will still inflate it will just not be as firm. To give you an idea i deployed one at 1500psi the other day out of curiosity and it still completely deployed the bag and almost entirely filled it, it was just a bit on the limp side. Even on the very coldest days the pressure would not change that much. As for elevation it is my understanding it will make no difference as it is in a sealed container.

just interested is all since I have already bought a ABS pack. Has the Snow Pulse pack ever been used by a human in an avalance? Maybe it will help you sell more pack if you can give more info. The reason I bought the ABS was it had stats proving that it does work.

We just bought 10 of them from ghostrider motosports in fernie B.C lots of guys are now buying the snowpulse here ive herd a few guys selling there abs packs and buying the new snowpulse now around here anyway
