new owner of '09 RMK800, what mods?

I just bought a new '09 RMK800 155". It's bone stock with 38 miles on it.

My first question, will it run better, quicker once it breaks in better and I get the 1st tank of gas with extra oil ran through it? If so, how many miles until I'm getting everything this sled has got power wise?

I am coming off of a hot 900RMK that was piped, reeds, RKTek head, geared, clutched, and I am really missing the instant neck snapping throttle response and pull with this new 800, that I had with my 900.

What should I do to the sled to help make is snappier? I don't want to spend a ton of money on this sled though either.

Lastly, I moved my Powder Pros over to this new 800, are the PP's still the best ski out there for mountain riding? It's been a long time since I've kept up with whats hot and whats not.

first off congats on a new sled :face-icon-small-hap
i'd read through increasing you iq tons of goo tips in there
the mods i have and are working good for my 09
slp pipe/intake
pc5
vents
carls helix and custom weights
also had it reflashed back to jan. 2010 fuel map

Congrats on the new sled. I would also add some better boards and vent the heck out it, if you have some extra cash put some fox float shocks on it too, as wellfed777 said there is lots of really good info in the increasing your iq section of this forum. Be sure to read up on the AKSNORIDER clutching setup as this should put the "snappy" back into this sled. Enjoy your new ride.:face-icon-small-hap
