New HeelClickers in my XP are kickin butt

OK OK OK it has nothing to do with the HeelClunkers and all about the limiter strap. Good for 5 track length lead every time and NO spring(s) required.....Heck im not even sqweezing the belt anymore the XP runs soooo good.

Even kicks butt going downhill.

OT

Best bang for the buck imo...So far no other setups can beat it. The consistant trackspeed is hard to beat in all types of mountain riding conditions.

So are you running the Center Rollers? I know that mine is just flat out working (with the center rollers). Did have a debate with my dealer about the overall effectiveness of the Center Rollers and overall weight of the arm.

The center roller is flat out the most consistant TRA primary mod out there. Pull after pull....The key to clutching imo for deep mountain snow boils down to 2 things. Fast trackspeed and Maintaining trackspeed.

IMO the "center roller" acheives what the "stock bouncing betty" never could. Add in the "unique ramp profile" and the combo allows the motors rpm to run very very well which results in consistant rpm and trackspeed through any snow condition..

I've also kept my 09 163 XP bone stock except for the HeelClickers to compare against my 08 163 XP mod and other sleds. :)

I am in full agreement with you. This setup just seems to work very well. I have been even more impressed with the center roller setup while spending the day riding in the tree's. Let off and then back on the throttle and is is very quick to respond.

Are you two refering to the CENTER WEIGHT??? What the heck is the Center Roller?

Hey OT though it was all about the weight and that they wouldn't work? LOL Glad they are working for you. Did you go down in pin weight and which ramp did u find that worked? They told me that the one dot was fine with the 42 helix. Just going to put mine in, had them for a month. Im thinking the new 383 belt too.

I used the pin weight that they recommended. As for the ramp I used the 2 dot originally then received a new ramp about 2 weeks later. I started on setting number 2 and after a ride I bumped it out to 3. After about 300 miles I took it back off and did a re-check on everything and all looked great. The only thing that I did notice was the ramp had a bit of cupping in the middle. Otherwise it has worked well for this person.

I know you were asking OT,b ut I thought I would throw my two cents in!:face-icon-small-win

DaveB, We all know trackspeed is very important however not always the determining factor. I look at it as comparing TRA Primary Parts vs HC Primary Parts and which part acheives the best performance. Theres know dought in my mind that the HC primary setup performs better than any TRA primary setup. You feel it in the throttle every time you sqweeze it.....As for trackspeed with myself weighing 280# bottomless snow boondocking Wyo powder 40 to 42 mph with a consistant very agrresive and responsive upshift & backshift at 9000' running 8000rpm. Last weekend same location with settled untracked snow ran a consistant 44 to 46 mph. When climbing the sled just keeps pulling and creeping along @ 8000rpm without falling on its face which is common with TRA primary parts and the heat common in the TRA primary while under load.

I kept my sled bone stock this go around to see how good the 800R 163 XP would run with just good clutching and so far primary parts vs primary parts the HC setup is kickin butt in all area of performance and not just trackspeed.

Most folks put all there apples into the secondary clutch when the real trouble with skidoo's clutching historically has been the primary clutch when riding deep mountain snow conditions.

Buy the way running the stock 47/44 and stock spring is recommended im running a straight 44 along and stock spring to close to call.
