New Flatbed

Looks great! Can you please post a picture of the ramp, how it attaches to the bed, and show the lower angle of a flatbed ramp vs what we've seen with a deckover?

Here is a picture from Monday. This is an 8' ramp, so the approach angle is very shallow. In this picture, the truck is on a lump, so the angle is worse than on flat ground. Still, it is not much of an angle.

The ramp has a bracket on both top legs that hook into slots on the top of the deck. This ramp will never slide out. It is very secure.

What do you like with the flatbed over the deck? Where do you put your gear?

I like the lower height for many reasons: easier to load, no overhead clearance issues, easier to access, and easier to fuel up.

I also like my bed being available for use during snowmobile season. Yesterday, I took the sled off and was able to go pick up a pallet of stuff for work. With the deck, that was a scary proposition.

As far as the gear goes, my truck is a crew cab. I have the whole back area to put my gear. The seats fold up and cargo trays unfold to lay everything down.

Looks great! Access to the sleds looks great and you aren't going up/down a steep ramp like a traditional sled deck. My back seat is used for nothing other than gear storage also...that is also why I like the traditional style extended cab, the entire side of the truck opens up for use while changing into/out of my riding gear.
