new camo track??

Made on a drum... Most of the Camo line is drum molded.

I'm curious as well...

Camo engineers are much more refined in their development than just 5-10 yrs ago... much less guess work.

I'm excited about this track for the stiff outer lugs that will penetrate thru spring snow or west coast snow when sidehilling.

This to me seem like a top notch track.

I have one coming and hope to get some good time on it this season.

Can you post anymore info on track making?
I have been a rubber chemist for 30+ years and have looked many times for
published info on track making, but never found much.
Are tracks made from TPR(thermoplastic rubber)?
This is what I am guessing they are made of,
thermoset rubber would be more durable but much harder and expensive to make.

was it this monday or tuesday?:face-icon-small-ton

He never stated what month.

Don't feel bad, he doesn't answer PMs either.
I will probably call TracksUSA around the 22nd of Aug and either a 15x154 Peak 2.5 or a 15x155 CE will be ordered. Hopefully somebody posts some real info on the Peak by then.

He is a very busy guy... and spends a lot of time helping people out... I think we can cut him a little slack.. What is so special about the 22nd?

I have enough money to buy a track and I want to get my sled put back together.
I was just razzing MH a little bit. He seems to be wealth of knowledge about sleds.

Well, I got a reply from TracksUSA that they have received the 15x154 - 2.86 Peak 2.5 yesterday, so I rolled the dice and just placed an order for one. Should be here Friday or Monday.

Wow, that looks like a really stiff track. Very interesting! Thanks for the pics

It's as described by Camoplast, the inner lugs are flexible, kind of like the Poo 5.1 lugs. The outer lugs are stiffer. So far, those that know more than I do that I've shown the track too think it's going to be a good powder track. We'll see in a few months.

would be nice if there was a 3.0... Cat guys like me will be wanting to toss that silly PC:kev:
agreed on the 3.0. It would be really nice if snowmobiles had more standardized parts, like track pitch, shock lengths...

What don't you like about your PC?

Cool and thanks for the clarification!!

The guys at Camo have been doing the sales circuit with the large distributors... pre season info can be difficult.

I was told that these will be avail in 3" pitch as well... I'll try hard this week to confirm that and get more info/pics....

I have a 154 and 163 on the way.

I've been in touch with Camoplast... trying to get them committed to a display at one of the west coast shows like SLC or Puyallup.

No 3.0 pitch avalible. 2.86 only for now. I'm throwing a 163 peak on an xp... well se what happens.
