new camo track??

The 153" tips the scales at 51 lbs for the Peaks 153 x 15 x 2.5", 3" pitch.... About a wash for the 155 at 51 lbs because of the center porting but tighter 2.86" pitch.

I just got off of a 1 hr phone call with Camoplast...

I'll post up some info in the next week on this track.

Needless to say... I'll be running a 154" x 15 x 2.5" x2.86" pitch Peaks track on my sled this season. They will be avail in 15 and 16 wide, 2.86 AND 3.00 pitch versions.

NICE!!

sooooo, it's been a week. when you going to let some of these details slip?

Monday or Tuesday my friend.
that is more then a week... tisk tisk... lol

Looking forward to hearing about the new track.. Are there any other manufacturers that can compete with camoplast? It seems the only good tracks are camo tracks these days.

That Peak track is going to be a good powder track, hard pack will be about as good as the lightweight track doo made in 07 for the x model sleds....useless. The flotation argument seems logical, camoplast states that the lug pattern is designed to increase flotation by funneling the moving snow to the center of the track...that seems like it may help keep the sled on top of the snow better, problem is the lugs are too stiff causing the sled to trench countering some of the funneled snow floating effect they are claiming. We all have seen what flat tipped lugs do in icy or hard pack conditions....better get cleats to counter this effect, adding more weight to your track. Don't impulse buy on this thing it may be a bust. Unless one of the people lucky enough to be part of the testing of this track has anything to add?

in

my track is at tracks usa, but im away for vacation, will post pics of it when i get back.

2.5 146 15 2.86

the guys at Camoplast are on vacation right now... Hope to have it soon.

Chill.
Eric, is this new track made on a drum or the same as the extreme 3" luggers? just curious how it compares as far as lug life...and how it compares to the 3" lug extremes...

Made on a drum... Most of the Camo line is drum molded.

I'm curious as well...

Camo engineers are much more refined in their development than just 5-10 yrs ago... much less guess work.

I'm excited about this track for the stiff outer lugs that will penetrate thru spring snow or west coast snow when sidehilling.

This to me seem like a top notch track.

I have one coming and hope to get some good time on it this season.

The info posted with the pictures does not show a 153" 3" pitch track available.
