New Boots!!

So, the HMK boots that I got back in 2003 have finally run their course and I am in dire need of a new pair. I have been looking at the new HMK's with the BOA lace system and also the Klim boots. Which ones have you guys used and do you prefer???

I just got a set of the HMK Team Boa Focus boots yesterday, and I love them. Probably the nicest set of boots I have ever owned anyways, I like the fit a lot better than the Klim's I tried on.

I've owned DC boas, HMK boas, HMK lace ups and for this year I went with the motorfist boot and I can say it is bar far the best looking, lightest and most comfortable I've ever owned! Can't wait to try it out plus it's not bulky

I was curious to see what ppl thought about the BOA lace system. Sounds like it is a winner. I am partial to HMK just because my other boots have lasted for awhile, and I am fairly rough on stuff.

Just bought my second pair of Klim boots. Loved the first pair that much. Still haven't worn out the first pair but got a smokin deal so bought another pair for a backup. My feet never get wet or cold. Very good boots in my opinion.

I had a pair of HMK's that are 5 years old. I replaced them with the new Team Focus BOA.

The great thing is you can mold the liner to your foot. The Intuition liner is made to be heated up and then mold it to your foot inside the boot. Superior fit!!

Plus you can't hardly beat the BOA lacing system.

I usually never buy anything branded by the manufacturers as they are almost always overpriced and usually not as good a product, but I gotta say, Polaris makes great boots!

I've been using my plain old $120 Polaris boots for 5 years now. Just about time for a new pair, but I don't think I will even consider another brand of boot. They're not bulky at all like the snowboard style boots, they're flexible for walking, very warm, and very breathable.

I actually stepped into a creak knee deep one day when it was like -10 degrees and ended up getting my foot completely soaked. Was cold for about 5 minutes but quickly warmed back up. By the end of the day my boot was virtually dry just from wearing it all day. I was amazed. I've warn them from minus 40 to plus 10 (Celsius), never cold or too warm. I suppose the only con would be lack of protection if you buy your boots for ankle support.

Here's what they look like, just plain leather boots. http://www.bndmarine.com/Pure-Polaris-XTREME-III-BOOTS-detail.htm?productId=10334135

I will say if the motorfist had the boa system It would be the perfect boot, plus it is the only one with a replaceable sole so in theory a guy should never have to replace them! And motorfist has that sweet bluebird warranty! I just hated how bulky my HMK boots felt I always had a hard feeling the sled and jumping around! Plus you can't beat $199.99!

Voyager Boa, light and smaller than the Team Boa and I only paid like 200.00 shipped to my house

Just try on a pair of motorfist boots and you will buy them!

I'm sure you'll think this a strange choice but these work for me whether on the Victory or the Sleds..

I have been wearing HMK Pro Boa's since the 06/07 season and LOVE the Boa lace system. I think the new style with dual Boa laces would make the fit even better, but mine are still in great shape thanks to Better Boards. HMK boots offer the best ankle support I have ever experienced. I don't see any reason to spend $300 to try another style....go with what YOU like.

KLIM all the way

I also just bought my second pair of Klim boots. I went for the ones with the removeable liner as they have more ankle support. I have never ever had wet feet and i have spent some time in running water and super wet conditions. I wont be buying anything else anytimne soon.

But it would be nice to hear a report on the Motorfist and how they hold up and stay dry!!

Just got my new HMK Voyager BOA boots....SWEEEET!

Not too bulky...but not too thin. Certainly doesn't feel like Hiking boots. The BOA lacing system is sweet....just dial in your comfort. The best is having the ability to reach down and with a pop of the dial..release the boot. I can see using that during down times.....then with a quick twist be strapped and ready to ride again.

They seem a little stiff...but a few days stomping around should cure that.

Next week will be the test......new sled and fresh snow!
