New BCA Float 22 "Throttle"

FLOAT THROTTLE - BLACK

Now available at retail stores. Please place your order now for November delivery. *Cylinder not included*
The Float 22 Throttle is designed specifically for snowmobilers. Creating boyancy and helping you float to the surface, the 150-liter airbag not only decreases your burial depth but also protects your head and neck from trauma in an avalanche. The tigger, located on the right shoulder strap, allows you to deploy the airbag without taking your hand off the throttle.
With its thin profile and lightweight structure, the Float Throttle will easily carry your winter rescue tools, lunch, water, and extra layer for a full day in the backcountry. New for the 2012/2013 season, BCA's Float System is now removable and interchangeable between packs. BCA's 165 certified refill locations around the world make it the easiest refillable airbag system on the market. The Float airbag system does not guarantee survival in an avalanche incident. Educate yourself, make good decisions, and know before you go. Cylinder must be purchased separately.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. They both have the same price, same size, same volume, same dimensions, same weight, look the same, sound the same, feel the same, smell the same, taste the same....except the handle is on the right side. LOL

Yeah i can definitely pack some crap into the 42...lol...dedicated shovel pocket that holds a shovel AND 100' ft of rope, and then the usual rest you know,,,1st aid kit, probe, spare gloves and an underlayer, decent size lunch, couple liters of water, video camera, monopod, handwarmers, energy gel, and a 6 pak. Perfect for an afternoon ride..lol And actuator is also on right strap. Large waistbelt pocket on both sides, diagonal ski carry and helmet sling. Everything needed for an afternoon ride...lol
But one thing, for its size and what it can carry, you barely know its there. and you can access contents from both sides. Hopefully it becomes available as it's definitely great for longer trips. BCA is where its at! guess i better check out the new Dozer Shovel, as i do spend some time digging...

Float 22 verse the 32

Going to purchase a BCA float this year. Debating between the 22 & 32. Like the 32 for the extra features like a lined goggle pocket, hydation capability, and trigger moveable from right to left. But how noticable is the size when wearing the pack? Will it feel bulky compaired to the 22 or marginal difference & better the have the extra volume for the odd time it might get used. Whats the torso lenght of the float 32?
