New BCA Float 22 "Throttle"

I had a prototype last year and did extensive testing. It has much more room for storage than the Float 18 due to the placement of the canister and the "engine" (venturi).
Very low profile pack and very light weight. I would guide for 7-8 hours with no problem at all. You hardly knew you had it on. I wouldn't even take it off when digging out sleds. Best fitting airbag pack I have used. I do some tech rep work for BCA (giving clinics at dealerships and shows)and give feedback on prototypes. Have only seen the photos of the final version, but will have one at Hay Days. They made some great changes from the prototype I tested. I put a lot of miles on the pack and was very happy with it. Definitely check it out and try it on.

I can't wait to get my hands on a Throttle 22.

I did see a computer generated pic of the Tracker 3 back in June or July. Sweet.

I hope to have one of each of these soon.

Tracker 3

same technolgy as tracker 2, just smaller and lighter, not in a hurry to own one

I was lucky enough to end up with a Float 42 last season and i'm pretty impressed with it.It sits and rides great fully loaded,(and it holds a lotta stuff) doesn't hamper riding/digging etc. at all. Very comfortable. Def built with sledders in mind. As Mike said, you never have to take it off. I don't know if its available to the public yet, but soon as it is i highly recommend one.
And as far as beacons go, my Tracker 2 is all i'll ever need.

Float 42? You mean 22? I actually just ordered the "Float 22 Throttle", expected delivery to me in 2 weeks. Sounds like it's a pretty good bag.

no i mean "Float 42". As far as i know they were suppose to be making it available for this season....They may have changed their minds i guess or pushed it off and just going to go with the "Throttle".

I never saw a 42, we did sell a couple 36's last year and they were huge. I am guessing the 42 would have doubled as a sled cover when not wearing. The new Float 22 Throttle is ONE SWEET PACK. We should have them available shortly.
Also make sure to check out the new Dozer shovel. Very unique innovation that will move a 4 times as much snow as a conventional shovel. We carry the complete BCA product line.

They have a Float 32, and I can't imagine needing anything bigger!

Float 32

BTW, one really nice feature of the 32 is the position of the trigger can be changed to left of right!

If I would have known, I would have ordered from you as a local and all.

Heck I could haul a spare short block in a 42L :bounce:

I can easily see the differences between the float 32 and the float 22...

BUT, what is the difference between Float 22 and Float Throttle 22?

They are very similiar, the throttle is designed more for sledders.

The float 22 = Our minimalist model for out-of-bounds, off-piste, and mechanized skiing/riding.

Thin profile and lightweight; enough volume to carry rescue tools, lunch, water, and extra layers. Features new dedicated shovel/probe pocket, helmet and diagonal ski carrying system, and waist belt pocket.

The float 22 throttle = Designed specifically for snowmobilers.

Features dedicated shovel and probe pockets and waist belt pockets. Trigger is optimized for snowmobiling by being located on right shoulder strap. Left-handed use enables you to keep your right hand on the throttle.

So is the handle positioning on the right the main "snowmobiler" feature?

Just asking.
Thank you.

It would be on your right shoulder to pull with your left hand. This would allow you to keep on the throttle
