New Banning Ramifications

Thread Rating

I think the donation thing is a great idea, but I highly doubt anyone would bother. As it is they come back with 3 or 4 alters for the time they are banned anyway. Unfortunately, banning permanently is not anywhere near as easy as it would seem due to shared IP addresses and free email services.

We'll try this for a little while and see if it helps. I think it might a little bit, but we'll see.

I refuse to discuss the Max thread...that's a dead horse that I don't feel like smacking.

If you actually care about your post count and innerweb rep, you shouldn't be banned, you should be B slapped and given a boot in the rear for being such a P

It says you are "banned". You have no post count and you have a ZERO for a rep. WTF? LOL

Well, if ya decide to change your mind, come post with us in the trash!! haha

Let me get this straight.

So if you're loaded up with neg rep (like say....SHA)
all you have to do is get banned to get rid of the little red dots?:D

Says someone with 0 posts and no rep.... Go figure Noob:eek::p

Personally, I think this new policy is a great idea, it has been getting a little crazy around here lately and I think this might just help things out a bit.

Good call Darrin!:beer;

I was banned once..................twice actually........for about 6 months.

You should do what AC did to me  when they come back, give them a rediculous avatar to carry on for about 60 days. Michael Jackson avatar works pretty good. Pretty hard to take someone serious with such a rediculous avatar

just an idea big d set up the donation through a paypal acct. have the email payment verification sent to you and they are back on, of course with all zeros, or they can wait there alotted jail time, saws and brc could use a ten spot,
my 02

Hehe that was pretty dang funny:D

Good point. Hadn't thought about that. But, yes. Since those with huge numbers of red dots take some sort of sick pride in it, it will hurt just as bad. Besides, SHA is rarely unbanned long enough to build up any rep.

Why not get rid of the neg rep all together? It seems to cause the most problems

That's right, when a user gets banned, their reputation will be reset to 0! Yay! But wait, there's more. Since a banning shows a complete unwillingness to follow the rules, the user will appear as a Newbie to all other users. Yes, we are also going to reset your post counts to zero!

But, but, but some of us use this as a status symbol for the whole meaning of out lives in general! Hahaha :D:beer;:)
