It has been suggested that the people who get banned find it sort of funny and just wait until it ends and start posting again. So, I have decided that a little harsher punishment will be levied (one that some of you will care a lot about). With *every* banning comes a reset of your reputation powers.
That's right, when a user gets banned, their reputation will be reset to 0! Yay! But wait, there's more. Since a banning shows a complete unwillingness to follow the rules, the user will appear as a Newbie to all other users. Yes, we are also going to reset your post counts to zero!
Let me re-cap. Starting with anyone who was banned over the weekend, every banning includes, at no additional charge, a reset of reputation and post count. Now you can show off how cool you are by getting banned and losing all signs that you were a knowledgeable and supporting member of the forum.
Some of you still won't care. Some of you will. I just see this as adding a little teeth to a banning.
I now return you to your regularly scheduled bashing.
