New Assault in the garage!!!

I ordered the standard ones and it showed up with the grey ones, fine by me! I have some spare black panels I am going to put a AFX wrap on.

Are all of these Assaults showing up with gray side panels? My dealer called me, my sled is in and I'm going to get it next week but I have not seen it yet. I also oreder the white prormk side panels, but after looking at the white assault side panels in pictures all summer I kinda like them.

Anybody elses sled come with an accessory wheel kit? Mine came with a bag that had 4 wheels and mounting HW. I plan on installing 1 set. Even the tag on the handle bar says "used included wheel kit when riding on hard pack " or something like that. Makes me believe that all RMKs should have come with them. Guess I'm not going to pick up the ones that I ordered befor getting my new sled :face-icon-small-hap.

Mine came with the wheel kit also, the dealer had it installed when I picked it up. I had already ordered the wheel kit before I got my sled assuming it did not come with them. So if anyone needs a wheel kit for their Pro I have one for sale lol.

the assaults come with an extra set of wheels. You can't mount them on the inside because of the resevoir on the shocks. You have to mount them on the outside of the rail but then you have to remove your scratchers.

they truly look like something we only dreamed of 5 yrs ago....

I agree 100%. :-)

Funny how my perception has changed. When I first sat the graphics in mags and on line, I didn't like it at all. I even bought the white pro panels. I then saw them in person at a sneak peak and thought they didn't look *that* bad. Even as much as I bought the extra grey panels for my '11 SBA. now that I have the sled in my garage, I can't stop looking at it. Love the color scheme!! Love the technology. Can't wait to ride it!!!

X2

This is the first I've ever heard negative about them???????

Some folks are having issues with the "ribs" of the running boards bending and breaking. This is a problem on the pros as well The solution is air frames, betterboards, etc. Not sure what I'm going to do. I'm a bigger rider 240 dressed, but not real aggressive. Might just do the Polaris stiffners shown in pics above. Cutting up my $11k sled is tough right now.

First thing I did was take the saw to my brandnew $12,900 sled and cut out the cleats and install a set of Robs betterboards. Its the 4th time I have installed a set so really no big deal once you have done it a few times.Too me it s a must as I hate snow build up.The new evacs plug up just like any other due to the raw aluminums sticky nature. The coating on the bb makes a huge diff

I got a new Assault in the garage too and the cousin's Pro! Mine came with the wrong panels too, I wanted the stock red/white ones. The dealers checkin into it. The fleet is lookin pretty good tho! The flap I have is the Long flap for the Pro RMKs from Proven Design Products aka Sledfreak89!

Once I get my sleds and get my airframes installed I'll post some pics. Heard great things about airframes so decided why not when my dealer put in a big order and got me a deal

I talked to my dealer today, they are setting up my sled for me to pick up on Wednesday and it to came with the gray side panels. My dealer said that they were looking into it for me.

Now time to install ES on my SB Assault, so the wife and kids can start it when we ride together. Can anyone elses wives/GFs start their 800? I think it is more technique then strength, but they cant get it. Even tried again last night when it was warm out and they can't even get one rev.

Well I can start 800's, not really a issues as long as it is not -20. But I did have trouble starting the pro 800 on the little demo ride we did. On that sled (might have been just that sled though) it only took one pull to start it but that pull had to be a full pull not a shorter pull. I didn't have long enough arms and had to stand pretty much on the bumper to make it work. Maybe this is the case?
