need help with a tunnel !!!!

Grind down the bolts [machine screws and nuts ] that hold your cr tunnel plates onto the tunnel. They should be grinded down on the inside of the tunnel. You dont want the edge of the track catching anything. They grind them down at cr 's shop. Did you not recieve a bag of stainless torque's machine screws.

Ah ic, i thought those plates were riveted on..... Whats bolted and whats riveted on this thing......? Wont bolts just loosen off even with locktite?

The powdercoat can be fixed.Depending on the color you have,Flat, satin or gloss get a small amount of the color used on the tunnel.Get some MEK,usually in paint stores but i used to buy mine south of the border as it was cheaper and i picked up all my powder down south.Mix the Mek with small amounts of powder.Make sure its not chunky thick, just a nice smooth mixture and paint it on the bare metal and let dry.Mek cures the powder as hard as you need it.Bingo---top secret powdercoating trick.

Tunnel stiffner plates are usually bolted [ locktite and grinded flush to nut]. The lower tunnel stiffner that meets your 90 degree drop bracket is riveted together.

is that space in the middle there just left open ?! or are people closing this in with a plate or something............ the stock tunnel was formed to sit up in there but the CR is flat along the top (as you can see). i dunno how much i like that open spot......opinions, experience.....?????
