I have mySilber kit installed its on a 2012 800 switchback at 1000ft...I have the low boost spring installed , the boost controller turned down as low as possible and running 94 oct. fuel. Bottom end is fine but as soon as I get arounf 1/2 throttle the DET sensor goes off.. I did the 30 sec. data log on the speedo and im not over reving it only getting to 7200RPM...Just wondering what else I can try, or do to get the DET sensor to stop coming on.

Thank

I'd start by running 100% aviation fuel or maybe 110 or something. I'm assuming ur not running enuff octane for your elevation unless u have a timing key or ur running like two pounds of boost. I could be wrong but it's my 2 cents

Not sure what I'm running for boost but the guage that came in the kit doesn't really move that much. I don't want to run avgas,,,thats the only reason I got this kit is because with the low compression head I should be able to run 3psi on pump gas . I tried going out to the air port today to get avgas but the shall and esso station wouldn't sell it to me . I'll go back out on Tuesday theres a few helicopter places that will be open.

You'll see marks from the bolt hitting on the bulkhead if that's the issue. Mine did the same thing. I couldn't see it hitting the rev limiter on the playback. Though I was over boosting for my fuel, but I ground that bolt head a bit and added a couple grams. No more det light. That's with straight av, 8 lbs, low comp head, and sea level.

I screwed up when I went and changed the low PSI spring I actually put it on the BOV instead of the waste gate ...so I have it all straightened away but it to late to take it for a rip..so be better now.

Thar's exactly what I had happening. Once I shaved some of the bulkhead away she turned into an animal.
