public wants bears?

I CALL B.S ON THAT. how many locals have you ever heard say "man i wish we had grizzleys around"? I've never heard it on our side of the mountain, at least from true locals. They probably polled the lodges at Whitefish to get the numbers they wanted.

Its a great thing to have grizzly's around, it don't have nothing to do with snowmobiling though and if you do happen to wake a grizzly while in hibernation they will let you know how pissed they are, then i would avoid the area next time around, you know these people picking on snowmobilers are stupid or something a human on foot is going to piss these animals off just as much as a snowmobiler will and when they are in choppers because they are scared thats even worse, unless you are a direct threat to a grizzly you are usually pretty safe and they will let you know in a quick hurry, but i wouldn't even worry about it in the winter they are sleeping. You know everything looks good on paper to most of these people but i would like to see how some of them would actually survive in the real world like living with them, hunting them, defending themselfs against them, and working around them, i think some would survive but others don't have a clue and those people should not have a say in anything it is so easy to convince the govt to shut down areas because most govt officials don't have a clue, hell most of them cant even change a tire on their car and for some reason they are trusting the enviro nazi's every word, its like if they brought there car in cause they had a flat front tire you could tell them that the whole front end i gone and will need to be fixed, just cause you are a mechanic it must be true so go ahead and fix it. I know they are doing a lot of studies and trying to create a better enviroment for wildlife and there are some honest to good opinions on these subjects but only a handfull of people actually know what they are talking about and those are the only ones that anybody should be listening too and they should have solid evidence that they are providing the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth then we could all respect the decisions. I want to see our wildlife's survival as much as anyone but they are going about it the wrong way and not seeing the real problems wildlife are facing in this ever changing world.

If they close the area marked as Y2Y BC is F#####. I am going to have to move. Sleds are the last of our worries. The area that is shown as Y2Y is rich in Oil, Natural gas,minerals and of course trees. So no jobs no money but at least we have this beautiful province now I will have to shoot caribou to feed my family and live in a cabin in the middle of nowhere.What happened to rational thought!

I follow ya in a big sorta of way on that one.... going through highschool there was just retarted....

and the hypocracy even at the younger level is amazing... i was up riding by the ski resort once, so i stopped in the summit house to eat and warm up, one of the kids from the enviromental club was spewing some crap about sleds producing 10000000000000000000000000 times as much exhaust gases as cars. after i told him that was nice and i would like to see an actuall study showing vehicles compared, he asked me for a tow up to the top of the hill next to the resort..... NOPE!!!!

all the kids from whitefish i know that are "enviromentally concious" were taken care of by there parents, never had jobs, never had to deal with any of there problems, got free cars, you know the likes. all the hard workin kids seemed to think otherwise!

Here is a interesting article on whats happening up north here i found this the other night and it pretty much sums up everything looks like one big science experiment to me, its a bit to read but its not just snowmobilers being effected its just we are the only ones back there right now it is going to effect everyone, i wish they would tell the truth but that probably won't come till after the election this govt is going to take our freedom away and there is really no proof this is going to work like i say its a experiment but they are going about it the wrong way, but anyways this should answer some questions. http://www.forrex.org/publications/other/ProjectReports/Caribou_MPB_Summary.pdf
