Need a good sled for the girlfriend

T-Bone;213708 I'm in need of a good sled for my g/f. My first choices: 99-02 600/700 Mountain Max 93-94 XLT (I'd like to stay away from the 600's) 97-98 600/700 RMK (I've got tons of indy parts laying around) 670/700 Summit I'm in northcentral MT so if anyone has something a trip to Great Falls/Kalispell isn't out of the question.[/QUOTE said:
A 99 600 MM for your girlfreind? What does she look like? I can come up with the sled, but I would like to see a picture of the girl I'm trading for!

I got myself a 97 RMK 700 last year, and got her a 03 ProX 700 this year... the proX is very touchy and she says it seems unstable... she rode my RMK once when I went to play on the Prox, she said the RMK seemed a lot more stable.. it also has better traction.. now I'm liking the proX more than the RMK.... heh Prox steers much better on the tight trails...

Definatly. A phazer is a great girlfriend/tail sled. :p

You should tell your salesman to quite telling people it is a good light weight mountain sled. I laughed when I heard that joke though.

My wife is into her first year of sledding and we got her a 2004 summit 600....perfect sled for her as shes quite small(5'3....130lbs)and she rips on it:)

What ever you would want for a back-up sled. If you're buyin why not. Sorry honey, you shouldn't go today. Uhhh too deep snow and avy danger. I'll take yours and keep it broke in while mines in the shop.:D

My wife rides a 99 RMK 700 136" and won't give it up for any other sled in the world right now. Plenty of power, short enough to throw around easy, but still goes pretty good in the deep and on the hills.

When thinking of purchasing a sled for Wife, Girlfriend, Etc. try to remember that most women( not meant offensively) want alittle more on the comfort side, electric start, reverse. Remember if she enjoys it more, and that's what you truly want, then you get to ride more often, and she understands the need for modifications. Just passing on info that has worked for me. Oh Yeah, and if you really want to impress her, spend more on her sled than yours. Trust me it works to your benefit. rpmbci.

Wise words... It's hard to decide for somebody else. What type of riding does she want to do? My wife rides a 97 600 XLT RMK and loves it. I let her ride my '08 RMK last weekend and she hated it. It seems like the lower, wider stance is a comfortable feeling for her riding the groomed trails. The xlt's are a little heavy but they are nice and smooth.
Take her around to sit on different models. Remember, there is no telling what a woman might like. After all, I got one to marry me:D

my girl rides a 99 mountain max. Never needs work pull and go. enough power to get her or me anywhere. And there a cheap buy. M6's and some others still are pricy if your tight on cash. She lovers her mm700

That's not the mountain max that had to be hotwired a couple of weeks ago is it?
